Adil, perhaps you missed something. This is an album where Björk expresses not only the need to evolve musically but also vocally, not so much in her singing abilities, but especially in her compositional skills. It’s not that her voice reigns supreme to celebrate herself, but rather to carry out an additional experimental compositional work with her voice and her interpretative singing, two sides of the same coin. That she may capitalize on it is possible, but we are left with the final product of an artist who can afford certain liberties.
The Alan Parsons Project Tales Of Mistery And Immagination Of Edgar Allan Poe

At this point, I abstain from my vote; reading the review, I found some insights for a further listen to this CD. Honestly, I don't consider Alan Parsons that great a composer as he's said to be, and I find that his projects tend to be a bit unfinished, caught between refined pop and a search that first leaned towards prog and then towards electronics, to simplify it to Tangerine Dream. Albums like "Gaudì" or "Pyramid" aren't exactly gems. However, returning to this work, if listened to with the right care, it could turn out to be a pleasant surprise. At the moment, I don't find it a great album, but I will listen to it again.

I was waiting for your review; first of all, congratulations on your choice of CD, remarkable, and then compliments for the delicacy with which you spoke about it.

A nice live performance, not essential, but well done and well recorded. The review (as you also note) made me want to listen to all their albums, past and present; in fact, I find "Dot Com" to be an excellent album.

Perfectly fitting review for the album. Well done.

Not realistic, what is right is right, I acknowledge my limits, in fact thank you.

You're right, I write randomly, first I write, at least I try, then I read and realize the mess I've made, sorry and bear with me, sooner or later I'll catch up to you.

But! I can't say that the review is bad, I just wonder how you managed to find all those things you wrote; I found the album cold, sterile, impersonal—ugly, really. 2 just out of respect for the Deep.

Sorry for the grammar, I'm writing a bit quickly, "...that may afford..."

I don't know the album, so thank you for the heads-up. I share your view on Zawinul's solo works; although I sense that the comment, "...basically the albums of the old Viennese are all the same after WR..." was likely made by someone who has the luxury of knowing and appreciating him, as I believe you do. That said, I also agree that "Stories Of The Danube" is the most successful work by Zawinul for me.
