Lester Grinspoon e James B. Bakalar Marijuana la medicina proibita

Stoney, I agree and unfortunately, willingly or unwillingly, I feel like the people you describe, except that I don’t consider you an idealist. Sometimes I wish I had at least a partial solution to this malaise because, even though I do interesting work, I often feel (and am) exploited. The fear of exhausting my life dedicating it to work, neglecting not only my spirit but also friends and loved ones, grips and terrifies me every day. And to think that four years ago I would have never said that; things happen almost involuntarily, you make choices you believe are right and then they turn against you, even if at the moment they seem to be the best and most "sensible." Unfortunately, at a certain point, the need for money kicks in, the desire to indulge in some vices, often resulting in just accumulating dependencies (like records, for example), ending up losing sight of ourselves as individuals. I tremble at the thought of what happened to my father, who after 37 years on the railroad gets to enjoy just 7 years of retirement only to end up without his mind, paying for a nursing home with the same money he sweat to educate me and my sisters. Sometimes life really sucks, and then someone criticizes you for being an atheist...
Maurizio Cattelan Tre bambini impiccati

I don't know, I always find Cattelan's works funny, or whatever they are. I remember an old man almost breaking his neck trying to free the hanged children. To me, provocation must be in bad taste, even if it doesn't affect me that much, but I especially understand the elderly who might be left dumbfounded. However, the Woitila hit by the meteorite and the squirrel shooting itself in the head in the kitchen after breakfast are a solid 10.

Damn lukin is back to the pen! Can you pass me these, I’ve never even heard them by mistake. But do you play these records for the kid? Yesterday I blasted Live at Roadburn vinyl 1 by Earthless to my daughter. She got a bit bored, she prefers stuff like garage or funky jams so her little wiggly dance can stay on beat.

By the way, Kill Bill is a copy of Lady Snowblood. Anyway, this discussion is long; it's like saying: what the hell, you listen to Kyuss, they’re the same as Black Sabbath + Hawkwind. We know well that it's partly true, but partly not.

It's a brave thing, not easy to approach a book that everyone quotes (both rightly and wrongly). In fact, it might be up against Apocalittici & Integrati by Eco and The Medium is the Message by McLuhan as the most cited works for those studying sociology and cultural studies. Good times, when I had the time to read those beautiful books. Anyway, I didn't find it very complex in itself; well, it's not Foucault, obviously, but reconnecting all the references (and updating them to the present) ends up involving another four books to read.

shut up Lewis, I’m waiting for the punch in the teeth next month. Anyway, you should have seen the character that the original Dr. John found me in the middle of a store/warehouse in Cambridge (Boston). An old hippie with sideburns and long hair who was listening to Paul's Boutique by the Beastie Boys.
