Yeah, but what the hell is this compilation? I should get it this week since there are two groups of dear friends, I mean Gonzales and Vortice Cremisi. Come on, let me know more!

The discs on tolotta are very hypnotic but less focused...I mean, after a while, they become narcoleptic. Everything's goin' on on this record is slow, but on the previous one, it was really tight. It's something they always do, that is, redoing a song from the previous album on the new one. In the latest one, there's Heaven.

I fully agree, even though by the time I arrived I was already worn out from the anticipation of ginopilotinmo trabajante... on the bright side, I exchanged opinions about waitering abroad with the bartender in Piazza dell'Unità over shots of sambuca. It was a lovely evening, folks, although I wish I could have talked a bit more with everyone. For instance, I didn’t even see kiu!

In my opinion, the first one, even though it's more experimental, loses a bit of its impact over time... well, maybe I’ll give it another listen tonight and change my mind! I didn't discuss all the tracks because I snobbishly thought that the album was well-known by most of the site's visitors.

Damn Lukin, I should have been there too, but I just can't handle the trails. I hope to send the review of the last one on Sunday, which is a psychedelic bomb. Right now I'm such a fucking stoner, like really stoned! Basically, I'm a worshiper of the wah wah. I have almost everything except the first one. I recommend this one and the last one, which are the best. How was the voice live? Ciao

I agree with Hal, I didn't read it as an offense to the gay community. A note to Strangler: "But explain your music better if you really want to, but leave aside things bigger than you, it's better." What do you mean by that phrase? Are you the president of Arcigay? I don’t like it when someone starts from a presumed and arrogant position of superiority (cultural, intellectual, or even just generational) — it's not the best way to argue a critique, in my opinion. Maybe I’m mistaken, but given your other comments (like "Rec and the Circus Leaves Town"), you seem to be a repeat offender. I should get a hold of it if those bastards at Infostrada would finally decide to set me up with ADSL.

I was there too, and as stated in the album review, I would say that Max were around 4/5, very laid-back. Musically fabulous, but unfortunately a bit lengthy, and in my opinion not too psychedelic, but that's a matter of taste. I can't fault them for ignoring the famous songs from the old album, considering they ended with the final track that was monumental... however, I was hoping they would be a bit more concise and less drawn-out live. Anyway, the acoustics were terrible; you could only hear the drums, occasionally the guitar, and the organ barely at all. But at least I met Malleus in person and I did an interview with a friend from Mucchio. I have a photo that I could upload, but how do you do that?

this is what I miss from the orgasm trilogy and I will get it. I agree that the first one is really cool, very Floydian, mary so contrary is magnificent and Mooney was better than Damo, too bad he had a nervous breakdown.

damn HAL, YOU'RE STEALING MY ALBUM REVIEW!!!!!! Well, I'm glad you like it, I listen to it often, even though I have another three hundred albums to get through and I keep picking them up. So, as mentioned, my favorite remains "no hits," the most original, or rather the one that reminds me the least of just one band. Aside from the lyrics, which are very self-deprecating (they have nothing modern about them, in fact), "modern music" somewhat reminds me of Gong but only because of the sax. "no satisfaction" IS the Velvet Underground (perhaps even too much); "druganaut" by Sleep has nothing in my opinion, as mentioned, it has the IDENTICAL rhythm to "halleluwah" by Can, with Page-like guitars in between. "set us free" sounds a bit like Neil Young (though to me the voice reminds me of Eddie Vedder) with a crescendo and a chilling female voice; I need to listen to "heart of snow" again just like the last one (sorry, I'm citing from memory). Very positive and the listening experience grows over time. Oh, the only one too similar to another group is "don't run our..." which I really like but it IS Black Sabbath taken as is or almost. Anyway, better than a lot of stoner stuff. Did you send the samples, Hal? If you want, I can prepare them today. Bye and thanks for relieving me of the burden of the review.
