Nice job, Enk, for describing the sexual charge of the record. Back when I wrote my review of the album (which, by the way, was my first, and it shows), I tried to be formal and descriptive. You did well to highlight the phallic nature of the record. Anyway, the best review remains Lester Bangs’, obviously. The only note I have is the usual one: you may have noticed that double, if not triple, reviews are exponentially increasing. What’s the point? I mean, don’t people listen to anything else? And then the fact that there is already a review should be an incentive to try to introduce something new compared to what’s already out there. And I’m not saying this just because I’ve already written a review. It’s a generalized trend now that only serves to push other reviews of unknown things off the front page. This isn't working. I’m definitely getting tired of it. Anyway, get the remaster of this double album with outtakes from the legendary "Complete Funhouse Sessions." Ola.

changing people changing, this was already there and it was done better. The album remains one of my favorites from my teenage years. One question: why isn’t there a way to block duplicate reviews? I can't take it anymore with thousands of reviews for the same album.

HAl have you flipped through it freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!????? are you crazy? it's also written in the instructions for use: do not handle without gloves, and above all, keep out of reach of children. Be careful, you might get a rash and your IQ could significantly decrease for the next few weeks. Please don’t do anything like that again.

Last year I was geared up to do this recap, but I backed out. Bravo airone, you describe it thoroughly, just leaving out the presence of the good Roky Erickson on keyboards (whoever can spot them in the chaos, give a whistle). A true white elephant of the period, I don't think anything similar came out before Faust. However, unfortunately, like all so-called avant-garde, it combines light and shadow, plenty of ideas but little practicality and very little ability to synthesize. Sometimes I wonder if we like these records because we feel them with our hearts or because they hit the mind. In short, are they cerebral or physical? I lean towards the first hypothesis, so I vote:

I agree with caz and moon, and I endorse it. Taken at the time solely for nostalgia for Garcia's voice. Unnecessary. 3 for excess, I would opt for 2.5.

by far my favorite of the primal, nothing compared to screamadelica, one of the worst aging records in recent music history. I remember buying it in Tokyo 5 years ago and "svastika eyes" was blasting everywhere, too bad they missed it at the jammin' festival with rage against the machine.

I completely agree with Roky. I bought them in a post-graduation euphoria two and a half years ago. At the concert I saw about three years ago, they played with Black Moses. Live they were good, but I initially avoided buying the CD because I knew they were REALLY TOO similar to their obvious sources of inspiration (among which you didn't mention one of the biggest, the old Who) both musically and iconographically. However, those who came to Urbino might have seen me walking around in the Gorilla t-shirt, which is awesome just for the writing. I also remember the bassist being hot. A superfluous album.

Great job, Kosmo! I also wanted to do Sons & Daughters (pleasant but nothing more), and the latest from Sleater-Kinney surprised me with its Blue Cheer vibe. Are you doing Sleater or Daughters? Or you could do both since we might finish faster given my long timelines.
