If I may say primiballi, I think quite the opposite; in terms of solo production, Magfari Barrett is overrated. But to say that Gilmour and Waters made the history of the Floyd does not equate to saying "they're the best Floyd" in my eyes. Success = skill is an equation that doesn’t lead anywhere.

So I intervene as requested: the symbol is not an ideogram and there's no doubt about it, it reminds me of both the symbol used on traditional drums and the emblem of some feudal daimyo (let's say shogun subordinates) for which it is a heraldic symbol, and it also reminds me of the rose of Borneo but I might be mistaken. I liked sung tongs a lot at first, but then it plummeted in streams, only to make a comeback these days. You're right, they're quite psychedelic, but I prefer heavier psychedelia in contemporary music.

I've never heard of this girl even from my musician friends in Japan. The titles of the pieces, however, are not in ancient Japanese; I'd be curious to hear the rest, but I'm sick of the usual bullshit about traditional Japanese music, the tea ceremony, zen, archery, and the same old crap. But I'm a little intrigued. Nitpicking clarification: souretsu is a funeral procession, soujiki is a funeral. Who is this girl recording for?

It was 1998, I bought this record, nobody cared about them, I liked it quite a lot right away, I tried to go see them just before Christmas (or was it Carnival in '99?) of the same year at New Age, but then a damn flu made me miss it. I agree with the saying that the mind of Kyuss wasn't Josh, according to what they say, especially since considering how young he looked in '95 (I would have guessed he was only 21 at most) he was too young to dictate the rules within the band.
