To label it as minor seems excessive, rather pretentious. And then, aside from the live shows, the Grateful Dead for example aren't that great; it seems more like the figure of Garcia is idolized while the music itself is overlooked, which, apart from a few truly genius pieces, was often just a bit more than an acid country blues. It has little to do with my idea of psychedelia, for instance.

Good job as usual, Lewis, these are only known by name. The name of the label reminds me of a horrible band called New Hobbits that I found in Tokyo and threw in the trash. Since that day, I've chosen wisely what to pick from the beloved 60's. There's a lot of crap that's only good for collections even back then.

Well, Antmo, you’ve also become obsessed with the Comets. I'm glad to hear it; I thought you already knew them. I had downloaded this one, but the Echoplex effect was a bit too overwhelming for me. I found this record just a bit too chaotic; better "Blue Cathedral" as a definition of sound. Have you ever tried downloading "Bong Voyage" by the Comets? The title should explain a lot… the rec is brilliant, and I’m putting it on the recommended list… did you really buy the complete Funhouse sessions? Chapeau!

Downloaded a couple of days ago and listened to it only once, so I can't really judge yet. Anyway, on first listen, I like the previous one more.

Damn, I just wanted to do it. I've known them for a short time, it doesn't seem like a masterpiece to me, just like your review, which feels a bit like a shopping list. You'll definitely find the reissue at FNAC, at least the one in Turin had it. In the genre, the Swiss Brainticket are not bad, more or less contemporary. They're still not essential records, even if fascinating.

Damn, pretazzo, it's a beautiful day. I miss them in my '60s collection. Can you recommend some?

sunshine of your love obviously pretazzo. Speaking of riffs borrowed between bands, listening to the blues magoos I noticed how black knight by deep purple has the riff taken word for word from ain't got nothin' yet by the magoos, not to mention the resemblance between taurus by spirit and stairway to heaven, almost embarrassing for the zeps.
