Good, youtube.com has new videos that I hadn't seen of the Duul, soap shop rock and eye shaking king at a festival in krukkolandia..... noteworthy is Renate's vulvic rate, a hippy Monica Bellucci. Marò...
Offlaga Disco Pax Socialsimo Tascabile

I have always refrained from commenting on Offlaga. Also because I am aware of many behind-the-scenes aspects of their success, or rather their media exposure, which makes me understand how, in the end, it is almost impossible to dodge the laws of the music market. Something that CCCP managed to do better. But in the '80s, being independent made sense. Anyway, generational controversies aside, I completely agree with Supercheri; the comparison with CCCP doesn’t hold, also because it’s not possible to have a group comparable to Ferretti & Co. That would mean copying or paying them too much tribute. The effect I experienced with Offlaga live was a mix of maximum volume and CCCP wannabe, despite what they claim. But unfortunately, whether it’s the geographical origin or the choice of imagery from real socialism, it hardly seems unintentional as a tribute. Regarding the irony, I don’t remember the lyrics well enough to comment; I hope they really are ironic and don’t take themselves too seriously.

I had read a review somewhere, but yours is definitely more stimulating. Damn, I missed folk and tap dance. However, I’ve been noticing lately that the choice of these new groups is now to combine completely opposite concepts, running the risk of turning it into a competition to see who can come up with the craziest mash-up. I've wanted to put together a Dub-grind-core band for ages, or black metal with a twist, or dub mazurka, or noise polka. I don’t want to say that your proposal isn’t genuine, but this is definitely the trend among the new generation, also because nowadays coming up with something truly new is out of the question; mix it up, people, mix it up.

beautiful floyd really beautiful. I stumbled upon Kircher during university when I was studying medieval teratology for an exam, and I think it was mentioned by some Baltrusaitis, but I could be talking nonsense. Or maybe it was in the Pendulum of Foucault? Because the whole story of Mundus Subterraneus seems familiar to me, lines of force, ecclesiastical ties for the Great Plan... it's too early to connect the synapses properly, in case I’ll do some research and try again. From what you describe, it reminds me of electronic meditation by Tangerine and in den garten pharaos, and for records like these, these two are enough for my next reincarnations. Again, compliments

downloaded last night, I don't have enough information for a judgment yet, and given the amount and variety of styles, it will take some of next winter to get a sense of it. I’m not particularly fond of the single either.

here's what the name referred to! it reminded me of something... I had the (un)fortune of seeing some photos of this torture, I think from the late 1800s or early 1900s. There was a semi-unconscious guy whose leg was being sawed off, while they were showing him the already severed arm. Always so friendly and cordial in China. I don’t think I’m interested in the album, but I’ve seen Napalm for free a couple of times and I have to say they kick ass. Moreover, the nice thing is that they don’t put on any airs, the bassist and Barney are just really chill.

I only saw him in Padua with Rocky three years ago. You could try those Vinyl Magic thieves; they should have a bit of everything since they also produce stoner and psych records.

I finally got it; I waited to have the original so I wouldn’t burden myself with MP3s. I must say it's fantastic, even though I don't understand why it's grouped with prog metal—then even Sabbath are metal (I know you'll all say yes, but that's not quite right). It's fundamentally an album with a hard rock foundation and clearly defined psychedelic intentions. I don’t think of King Crimson when I listen to them; they have an impact and sounds that are neither prog nor protoprog at all. Well, end of the terminology inquisition. Oh, and Tony Hill played in the Misunderstood, for the record.
Smashing Pumpkins Gish

Why use X instead of PER, it's not like you're writing a text. Since you were at it, you could've written xké and other similar nonsense. Anyway, it's a bit of a shopping list this rec. Rhinoceros and Snail are among my favorites by the Pumpkins. Who told you that Siamese and Gish only became famous after the release of Mellon Collie? They were already more than well-known with Siamese Dream, I remember tons of coverage on the album and the band at the time, maybe even too much. Gish was hard to find for a while and it really became more famous after Siamese.
