To be honest, the reissues are from 2000/2001, at least the first three for sure. I bought Forever Changes in December 2000 and Four Sail in 2002. The DVD is from 2003, after Lee had taken the entire Forever Changes on tour. For once, there wasn't the usual exploitation of the deceased. At least for now.....

an old passion, however related to the second period, from 1000x onward. Definitely talented but lost live, once even for free at the Festa dell’Unità in Bologna. There was a decent record circulating of some friends of mine, the Cosmogringos from Trieste. If you manage to find it, it’s a nice little disc.

to me it's still a minor album compared to forever and da capo... I can't give it full marks. On YouTube, there's a long live performance from this period of the band. well done as always, Don.

In fact, jehovakill interests me, benzo. Anyway, I didn’t mean to say that Cope isn’t psychedelic, at least regarding a good part of his solo work, but I criticized the psychedelic label given to the Teardrop. Bye.

chissivede benzo24. It’s been a while since you’ve been around. I'm sorry, my comment wasn't meant to say that psychedelia isn't an attitude, but you have to admit that there are psychedelic music with psychedelic effects and psychedelic music that misses the mark even if that was their aim. To me, the album is quite funny. If we’re talking about Fried then I'm on board, but the Teardrop, no thanks! Saying they’re among the most psychedelic seems excessive to me. And anyway, even Hitchcock, as great as he is, has very little of what I consider psychedelic. They (he and Cope) may have a psychedelic approach, but the result of their music for me is anything but psychedelic. Well, I sound crazy. In the end, the discussion is about the chords that such music touches, that’s all. I admire Cope more as a long-sighted critic than as a musician, I’m sorry.

I finally bought it after downloading it back in the rec days. What can I say, it's an amazing album. It's a shame I only discovered it now, I would have loved to grow up with this album. It's been a while since I heard something truly remarkable in the search for sixties archaeology.

disappeared in the telematic sense of the term josi? right? Enry and others, I don’t love perfection either; in fact, flaws are the spice of people. However, my criticism wasn’t directed at him as a singer; if he sings like that, there’s not much to do, honor to the courage. I just didn’t agree with you because it seemed to me that you wanted to pass off a simple pronunciation problem as an artistic quirk. My reaction godbowl the first time I put it on was similar, except I was on the subway in Tokyo and thought I had heard incorrectly.

I'm sorry Enry, but I don't agree with you. Rapp's voice is very beautiful, but what you call sounding like Paperino is a pronunciation flaw, and I don't think it's intentional or naive. Unfortunately, I often can't take him seriously; when I hear the otherwise excellent Another Time, I can't help but laugh. It's a shame because some compositions are truly touching.

I haven't heard from him in a while... but do you think the Teardrop Explodes are psychedelic? We have opposing views on that. I won't comment on them because they make me laugh involuntarily, and badly... just thinking about the trombette pereppepe! from that album makes me want to laugh/cry. So far, the best Cope I've heard is definitely Fried... that can be defined as psychedelic, too bad about the horrible 80's drum machine that runs through it, but unfortunately, those were the times, and thankfully, they're over.

Damn, I downloaded it almost reluctantly; the first one left me rather indifferent. But gentlemen, maybe it’s because I’m in a folk phase (Comus, Vashti Bunyan and so on), but this is really a nice album that I think will grow immensely over time. I’m almost tempted to buy it.
