Lars Von Trier The Kingdom

I remember nights around '97 trying to watch Kingdom in a room with THC fog as heavy as my eyelids... I obviously remember it in flashes, but I clearly recall the very unsettling atmospheres. I saw it just got released now in extra luxury DVD. @galakordi: damn, nice detail, I remember the cover of Burning The House Of God by MZ 412, for which it seems they had legal issues, or am I mistaken?

I downloaded Mostro, but I still need to listen to it properly; the office isn't the ideal place...

Well, poletti, what do you know about the spirit with which he went there? If they had given me a press pass for Cannes at not even 20 years old, I would have gone for sure, and it doesn’t seem to me that he boasted about it in his review. At most, I had accreditation for the Far East Film Festival and Venice, but I lived there, so... as for the film, I would be curious to see it. I was in Singapore for a week last November for work, but I couldn't explore much. It seemed frantic but less chaotic than Tokyo, for example, and much smaller. In a nutshell, Singapore is an island with a big city and lots of nature. And a constant temperature of 30 degrees, day and night. And of a frightening opulence.

I lived there at the time. I came back at the beginning of 2005.

Well done, I got the BBC sessions 10 years ago as a gift, and every now and then when I want to ejaculate, I put on the CD from the Paris Theatre.... wow, how they kick off with Immigrant Song!!!!

stikezz you're right, I didn't remember the final stomp and thought it referred to that. Maybe also because since the 4th one, I only have very old and worn-out tapes of Plant & co.

But indeed, my criticism is not personal; I criticize the reviews, not the people (unless someone is being an asshole or whatever, and that certainly isn't the case with you).

@aliansen: Well, the fact is that the site isn’t in English, and writing a review is something you'd expect from a third grader, but I can understand it given the keyboard. Writing it twice on the same line means you don't know how to spell it. I might sound like a teacher, but that damn "almost like I wrote recenZione with a Z, come on!! as long as it’s understandable" really gets on my nerves. It’s like writing Ke instead of Che. We’re not texting Cristobal de la Frontera! And since I care about the quality level of the site since I've been involved for 3+ years, it pisses me off that someone doesn't proofread the reviews and thinks "as long as it's understood". At this point, we might as well write in Morse code and put a disclaimer where we give the code for each letter and good night. If someone publishes something, they put themselves out there and should expect some criticism, right? Is this too much to ask? If someone doesn’t want criticism, they shouldn’t publish. Otherwise, they accept it and respond.
