Damn, one goes to the vineyard for three hours and all these comments? I agree that a small scene nu kraut (horrible neologism) might exist, but saying kraut is saying pop and citing the Beatles, which is everything and nothing. @Fest: the assemblies are on their way.....the latest from Entrance on teepee isn’t bad. @Bartle: do the second one from Mammatus, it’s better than the first.

It reminds me a bit of the cult of Cthulhu as described by HP Lovecraft in the eponymous story, subhumans dancing around unnameable idols in an orgy in the swamps. HP was very much afraid of the world, seeing it through the evil eye of American Indians and blacks. But what grace do they resemble?

Did you know that in the end, Fest isn't as tedious as it seems? It takes a bit of listening, and then it flows smoothly and has some veeeery interesting parts; it keeps getting better every time I listen to it. There's no denying they can be verbose, I think, if you have the previous Love Love Love, you understand what I mean....this one is a haiku in comparison for brevity and conciseness! Regarding Holy Mountain, I highly recommend Blues Control, which I will review soon (hopefully). But Holy doesn't publish Six Organs anymore, just like they don't for Residual Echoes. For me, better than Holy Mountain is the beloved Tee Pee Records, which hasn't missed a beat lately (Lovetones aside): Tee Pee Records Webstore — Tee Pee Records Webstore

Argh, the Moody Blues are terrible, I can't listen to them, I've got two albums taking up space unnecessarily waiting to be sold for next to nothing. I think I can’t even digest this one as much. I don’t quite agree with the idea that rock was at its peak in the '70s, at least not after '73. But obviously, it's a matter of perspective. "The advent of prog"?

You know I'm a real stickler, right? Just yesterday they re-aired a special TG1 about the '60s featuring footage of Auger and Driscoll in Italy.

Damn, I was about to get it last week! Instead, I turned down the offer for fear of a complete letdown (don’t ask me why, just a matter of feelings). In any case, I got John Martyn and a solo album by Gene Clark. Oh well, I’ll make up for it... one thing though: weren’t they the headhunters of Herbie Hancock?

sorry for the delay in responses but during the weekend I don’t get along with the computer (which is needed considering the 9 hours I spend on it from Mon to Fri!) Regarding the album, maybe it's better Axes or the one before, but who knows how this one has gotten me hooked even more, the initial triptych is amazing to say the least, not to mention the instrumentals. My editing kinda sucks, sorry. But can we at least manage to send one review per head a week to counter the tide of liquid crap that’s coming in? Oh and damn, do we want to leave less space for these films? They stay on the homepage for three weeks, and that review I sent on Friday has already disappeared from the homepage by today, Sunday.

mainliner and fushitsusha listened to and definitely indigestible. Ghost can be tedious over long distances, but in small doses, they're amazing. I don't understand Acid Mothers; they almost always leave me puzzled.

@Moon: I tried to send you a private message but I caused (some) terrible error. Anyway, my nickname on perkele is sandoz, you can recognize me by Hoffman’s avatar. Regarding the Boris theme: I also think they suck when they're fast, and Pink is ridiculous (those idiots at Pitchfork think it’s a masterpiece, fools). I recommend the Marble Sheep from the good Ken Matsutani, owner of Captain Trip rec. as well as a monstrous hippie. They are less innovative than Boris but sometimes beautifully psychotic. And then folks, Ghosts are perhaps the most badass, no doubt about it.
