Well, it felt very country to me, sure, not Johnny Cash, but a full-on 70's instrumental setup. I was left with the feeling of a record that was only half successful... but it's been over a year since I last heard it. I'm curious about the rec supersoul.

Well, the Howlin Rain aren't that great, basically just an album of country ballads... you had said you'd do it bartle and here you are. I'll read it tomorrow, on the weekend I can't stand the computer.

Heard it Saturday night, available for immediate download. The funk version by the Beastie Boys has always blown my mind.

Seen live with El Thule a couple of years ago... interesting, but they seemed nothing special to me. At least in the scene, there are people who are less "formally" stoner, and those are the ones I like. I’m trying to organize a Colour Haze concert around here (Ancona) and I’m waiting for a response from Stefano, the singer. As for new psychological records, I haven’t got much to say lately; what I had I wrote in my last summer recs and they are the best releases. Free Ride is okay but not worth the purchase, while I got into a strange Baroness trip for two days that I had dismissed as a bunch of filthy metallers but, aside from the voice, they really rock. Oh, regarding upcoming concerts, Arbouretum live on 03/11 at Bronson (Ravenna) - 04/11 at Melos (Pistoia).

@Fest: I also have Thunder Perfect Mind + three others whose names I can’t remember. I’ll have to focus on that again. The last Akron/Family will definitely end up being one I buy, but for now, as you say, better the split and Meek Warrior. They were already halfway a joke live before; I can’t imagine what their live shows are becoming after the latest one. I'm listening to AOL and it’s growing...

Well done, Gino, I knew you would do it... and I’ll have to hear it. Fantasilandia has always had the effect on me of a fairy tale that could suddenly turn into a splatter. The dwarf was eerie and ugly.

You should have seen them live in 2001 and then we could talk about it. The fact that the Arctic (who might be good live) are headliners now is called marketing. They may have come out of the blog buzz, but if a major label that sniffed money hadn't picked them up, no one would have known them. For every monkey that emerges, 200,000 stay in the trees eating bananas. And their music is so different, it's pointless to compare them. Well, I see it like Mien, but even the stones know by now that I absolutely hate this new "English wave." They’re in a very bad place, seriously.
David Silverman I Simpson - Il Film

Just one thing: have you deviljin seen the movie? NO MOVIE is comparable to Christmas in India (or any other crap by Vanzina), first of all. It’s not even about movies; it’s like considering Tavernello as wine. And no matter how hard they try to make it seem like that, it remains shit. Writing "Basically, it's just to have a laugh and nothing more; you can't expect THE SIMPSONS to be an epic or serious movie since the TV series is anything but serious" is terrible because: A) If The Simpsons were just a cartoon, they wouldn't have had this success (same goes for - but to a much lesser extent, as they are less subtle and more predictable - Family Guy and South Park) B) Involuntarily - or not? - you imply that Christmas in India MAKES YOU LAUGH, which is definitely unsettling...
