To me, that sort of organ on Angel is pretty terrible... what can you do? Anyway, this album has been mostly panned by Italian webzines; Pitchfork doesn't speak very highly of it either, for example, but I thought they would have absolutely trashed it.

Surely they have less personality than other revivalist groups, no doubt about it. And indeed, when you mention Howlin Rain, I think of the Comets On Fire. It all makes sense.

Just to avoid misunderstandings, I was being ironic; Gino and I are friends in "real" life... and to be honest, a good part of my teenage musical education came from him. I still have the tape of the Seattle sound, remember?

If you write "introiettato" again without specifying the clear sexual references, I'll call the doorman and drown you in the slorg. And the prohibition of "o" is banned from being used below the 45th parallel! Haven't they told you?

Nice, the exception that confirms the rule of the duplicate. If done well, then bring it on. Unfortunately, if I really have to enter the Stones vs Beatles debate (which made sense back then, but is quite amusing now; it would be better to compare Stones vs Pretty Things), I belong to the Christian Democrat majority of 80%. While I appreciate the Stones (of whom I don't have an encyclopedic knowledge, just like with the Beatles), I love variety. For me, while I wouldn't claim that the Stones have always made the same song (God forbid!), they have always surprised me less. The differences between the various incarnations of the Stones sound are microscopic compared to the different incarnations (in just a handful of years) of the Beatles. Personal consideration, of course. And to be honest, I think the Stones were a bit "putting on a show," meaning they were drug addicts, just look at Richards now, but the street attitude has always seemed a bit contrived to me. So much so that, reading Lemmy's biography (La sottile linea bianca... regarding vague references to drugs), I was struck. Speaking precisely of the Stones, he claimed that those who had come from the street were not them, but the Beatles. The Stones were children of the bourgeoisie, not of the working class. And they had seen very little street life. And most importantly, they acted like they were, which the Beatles did not (I think he was mainly referring to Lennon). Now, don’t stone me, die-hard fans of the Rolling Stones, I’m just quoting what the good Lemmy Kilminster wrote.

The amplifiers are even more metallic and almost "Tool-like" in the sounds, and the Mammatus are more freaky. In the end, this album has a lot of references. And damn it, I’m taking back what I wrote above, I like it, I like it, I like it (even if sometimes it’s gaudy, the more I look for its flaws and find them, the more I like it).

For me, Pink Floyd doesn’t even spark a vague memory, not even of those they call prog (but according to me, they don't fit in that category anyway). I’m talking about the first one, also because it’s the one I know best.

What the hell, album of the month on Rumore, Mucchio, and even Blow Up? Wow! I don't know, it's strange; a magazine like Blow Up should be repulsed by an album like this. Anyway, this album is a sine wave: some days I love it and even bright lights drive me crazy, other days it irritates me. Controversial.

one of the worst movies I've seen this year, pathetic, convoluted, with a feel-good ending. It's a shame because a glimmer of interest could have revived it, but halfway through it becomes clear that it would all lead to the putrid estuary of a river of shit.

I don't know, after Frances's tour they really got on my nerves. I still like the first one, Frances has been dusting for a while, I don't remember the previous one, and I heard this one a couple of times on Friday. Well, I was working, but I could hear Cedric's vocalizations from some German power metal band. And that wasn't good.
