Langhorne Slim When the Sun's Gone Down

came to concert in my city a couple of months ago and lost to substance abuse. From how you talk about it/they talked about it, I obviously messed up big time. I'll make it up soon.

Well done, marpado, I agree with what you've written. Enough with this nostalgia, and enough with this nonsense about the '80s being better than the '90s. Also, since I was born in the mid-'70s, I miss the '90s more than the '80s, even though the latter was the period of my childhood. To be honest, the useless and fake lightness of the '80s was thankfully brought back down to earth for a good part of the '90s (the first half). So, seriously, forget about Drive In and hot chicks on TV; it's time for the girls' TV and Tunnel. What do you want to say?

Almost accidentally picked up a month ago, and it brought me great pleasure, much more than I expected (poiboh, I’ve never understood why I had never even downloaded it, considering how incredibly beautiful the first self-titled album is). They are definitely the best-preserved German group of the '70s, even better than Kraftwerk for me. It doesn’t mean they’re my favorite, but they are among the most timeless of the psychedelic krautrock ensemble.

@Lewis: I used to have a bunch of 45s, some lost, others broken, and a few remaining. I apologize for venting about the female reviewer; of course, you can write whatever you want here, the site is free. As for criticizing a use that I believe is harmful to the content itself, that's another matter. Regarding the value of the production of previous singles, there's really an abundance of choices; in the Goldrake one, even Ares Tavolazzi is playing!

As far as I'm concerned, you could have done something different last Friday... I imagined from the nickname that you would be a sidekick of Il Paolo in reviewing absolutely necessary things for the health of the site. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, especially for having had the courage to write "superlativa Cristina d'Avena," that is, the one who has destroyed and monopolized the scene of Italian cartoon theme songs (she would deserve to be impaled just for this, the other reasons I'll leave to you). The live version is an endless abomination, almost endearing in its typically '80s naivety. What surprises me is that there are people on this page who even rate the album... I mean, do you have it in your collection???? I’m holding tight to my 45 of Jeeg cristo!

This time it's my turn to cover my head in dry guano, buddy Bartle. Fantastic review for one of my favorite bands. This is the last one I have; after this, not much is left to save. Damn, you've already snatched up the best albums; I’ll never be able to write a couple of lines about Dettmar's baldness (my next goal is to become like him in 10 years), about the great big mother Stacia (now turned into a figurative artist; I think I stumbled upon her personal website). Anyway, to get a clear picture of their vicissitudes, I highly recommend the BBC 4 documentary that can be found on YouTube.

I just got a t-shirt made with this stunning cover (the next one is from the first Ash Ra Tempel). I really love it, but for obvious reasons, I listen to more Future Days (an absolute masterpiece).

but it wasn't just called The Tussler? The one from '94, right? Oh, maybe it's the double edition that came out 4/5 years ago...

Well, Alessio, in my opinion, the pop-psychadelic shift for two albums was remarkable, Let Them Eat Cake and (a bit less) Phanerotyme were excellent albums that never looked back (intended as looking at their "own" musical past). Already It's A Love Cult was showing signs of wear. May 24, Velvet I'm in this time!

I was one of those who frowned at Black Hole, where they quoted themselves for the first time. In hindsight, it wasn’t bad at all; quite the opposite, in fact. With this latest album, they managed to accomplish something they hadn’t done before: a suite album. Of course, some passages evoke past glories, but they still have the balls, and at times, it’s an excellent record. And in my opinion, it’s not as progressive as they claim; often the tracks start with a guitar refrain that explodes and implodes continuously, without excessive tempo changes or masturbatory breaks. It’s progressive in a positive sense. And now it’s time to see them again for the Nth time.
