But did you really like PiGreco that much? Well, I saw it ages ago when it just came out, but to me it seemed redundant and a bit forced at the end. I need to try to fix that so I can review it with more knowledge.

I wanted to read storia e utopia, I didn't remember this scene muito. Indirect thanks for reminding me.

Well, there are definitely personal tastes, I admit! I mean, people who listen to jpop heroines and maybe say that Shakira is awful, or prefer Japanese teen punk to Blink’s without realizing they’re essentially the same thing. Of course, there are absolutely original manifestations like the whole noizu scene. But enough of that, we’re talking about China, the country that will culturally dominate us within the next century. My daughter will start speaking Chinese as a child, whether she likes it or not. By the way, Blixa, send those live reviews to bbestia because I’m curious to know about Beijing’s nightlife.

I understand you; I did the same in Tokyo. I'm a bit skeptical about the Asian scene in general, perhaps a remnant of Western cultural supremacy. But even Japan, which has had a properly defined music scene since the '60s, still has an overwhelming number of concerts and local bands, 95% of which are definitely avoidable given the pedantic reproduction of Western-inspired sounds. I often think that a lot of people get caught up in a crisis of extreme Orientalism and sacrifice their critical sense at the altar of "it's cool because it's Asian, therefore strange." I'm not referring to you, since having studied Eastern languages as well, I don't think you fall into this cultural trap, but rather to the multitude of people who do.

Well, do a review so I understand what the aforementioned are doing. But have you studied Chinese?

because Scaruffi is essentially an eminent fool who thinks he can be simultaneously a critic of music, film, poet, and journalist. With poor results in each of the aforementioned fields.

I can share certain criticisms, made by many regarding the film; it is definitely filled with stereotypes (especially the happy gay artist friend and the Italian guy), but it is also quite self-critical towards the left, although that politics in North America is not comparable to what we had until the end of the '80s. And anyway, it should be watched alongside the previous film, "Il declino dell'impero americano." I have to say that the professor is hilarious. Then, to each his own, but the truly terrible films are elsewhere.

Cool Beijing, I have friends living there. But I'm afraid that for now the music proposals, if they’re doing well, reflect the trendy Japanese ones, that is, extremely unlikely and unacceptable stuff.

Feeling sensitive, my friend? Do you feel like you're being pulled into something? And I guess you're older than me by a bit....
