in what sense cynical Dallas? Ah maybe because I don’t consider this music that will last?

The soundtrack of this film could be the Black Angels' "Passover," reviewed here. Also because the American trailer features the very same opening song. See for yourself.

Congratulations Occulto, I didn’t know a damn thing about this movie. So I’d give you two fives: one for making me knowledgeable and one for the quality of your writing. Downloaded it yesterday and I’ll watch it today. Chapeau!

I don't hold extreme resentment toward Spielberg; he certainly entertained me better in his films up until the late '80s. However, I wasn't disappointed with this one, only if taken as an entertainment film. I imagine Dick's story is better, but in my opinion, no one (aside from Ridley Scott with Blade Runner) has managed to bring Dick to the screen decently. A Scanner Darkly didn't excite me, partly because the book it’s based on is one of my favorite books for years, and it's absolutely not adaptable to video, given that the whole intrigue lies in telling the story solely from the protagonist's point of view. So, in the film, the twist that keeps the book engaging from the start falls flat for obvious reasons.

The yesterday's are one of the best heavy things from those years. It seems to me that chrisgoesrock has it.

I'm sorry folks, I watched it the other night after hearing conflicting comments from friends. I don't know, for me, taking photography aside, it was really terrible across the board. I found it redundant, rhetorical, with somewhat stereotypical content. I fully agreed with the discourse on the accumulation of goods, and so on. Maybe I'll try to read the book, because I really didn't like this film at all. And damn, Penn could have chosen a decent actor; this guy has a damn face as big as the Northern Hemisphere. After 20 minutes of the movie, I was already curious to know how he would die. If you want a film (different, but with two protagonists with similar intentions) about Alaska and escaping civilization in search of a connection with nature, watch Grizzly Man by Werner Herzog. The ending this one gets compared to that is like roses and flowers.

I must say that Iron Man is not bad. It should be taken with a grain of salt, as an entertainment film, but it's pretty ironic and not just a series of quarter-hour battles. Both Jeff Bridges and Robert Downey Jr. shine in their roles. For me, it's also the first Marvel movie done decently (I was a huge fan of the X-Men comics, but I never liked the films).

Ah, the album is contemporary, from 2008. Please don’t give me the ranking of the recs after I reread them; they all make me sick.

Ah, now after a nice face-to-face session with the toilet bowl, I can argue better. @Adder: the one depicted is Father Zubatazz, an original work by my friend Matteo that will be worth millions in 20 years. I hope. @trell: that site about vomiting, I don't know if it's genius or in bad taste. Anyway, this little disc, in some ways, deserves it, but if you skip it, you won't miss out on much.
