Of historical Japanese prog groups, I know the Yonin Bayashi (kind of the PFM of Japan, in terms of popularity at the time), the Nishinihon of Far Out (or vice versa, I don't remember), and not much else. I guess I’ll have to get my hands on japrocksampler sooner or later. Even though I've already understood that the good Cope really goes even harder here than in Krautrocksampler. I mean, he praises bands that are definitely tough, like Les Rallizes Denudes, which Kosmo recommended to me two years ago, of which there are almost only live recordings. Interesting, but compared to them, Sunn O))) seem like the Beach Boys. And sometimes all this enthusiasm for Japanese music is influenced just as much by the music as by the geographical origin, which still influences us because it's "strange" and "exotic." Nowadays, a glaring example is Boris, who by the way are terrible live. A friend of mine left halfway through the concert at Bronson.

WELL TURKISH, the comment I wanted to read, and at this point I urgently need to read the book, which I think I might really enjoy. Perhaps it’s precisely the effort to make it a hero that has made it feel redundant to me.

summer '97....I was definitely in the Kyuss/Motorpsycho/Tool phase, and a lot of Jon Spencer because I had seen him in April. These I had never seen or heard.

I saw it last night.... I'm almost tempted to try my hand at cinema for the first time... anyway, it has its limits, but it's not badly done, and it's extremely faithful to the story.

It seems to me they want to make the Avengers and Thor, does anyone know anything about it? @Ghemi: a friend had told me about that Civil War thing, but unfortunately, after 13 years of Marvel inactivity, I don’t think I have the time but especially the money to catch up!

I went in thinking it was going to be a piece of crap or at least a movie valid only for special effects and the like... and instead, damn, it's definitely the best Marvel hero movie ever made (okay, Spiderman 2 isn't bad either, but here the CGI is insane; after a while, Spiderman looks fake, especially in the "vine" scenes between the buildings). I think Robert Downey is great, and Bridges looks cool bald, and above all, it’s a pretty ironic movie, it doesn't take itself too seriously. Maybe it’s because the comic book character has never really been honored with a noteworthy saga (my memories go back to '95 with Marvel; if there's anything later, let me know), so it created few expectations for the Marvel fan. This is something that ruined all three X-Men movies, of which maybe only the second one is redeemable. I hope they make Weapon X, which could also be appealing to the masses, given Wolverine is the protagonist and considering the hints dropped in the second X-Men. Obviously, it's a movie for pure entertainment, and you have to overlook certain rhetorical clichés (him getting kidnapped by the Afghans and the usual modern clichés), but it does its job well. PS: damn, I left too early and missed N@#! Fç°* who appears at the end. GRRRRRR!

Well, this album is worth it just for the song 138, whose lyrics consist solely of repeating "We are 138." Brilliant!

The only movie in which he acts well is Match Point. Lost in Translation, you already know what I think about it...

Well done, purpulan, I missed the drummer! But I’m not too excited about the latest one... it would have been better if it had stayed an EP.
