Clichés can sometimes have a kernel of truth, especially when many of the site’s frequenters have known the obvious sources of inspiration since they were in diapers, and pretending to be the new Zep or something similar really gets on our nerves a bit. And if targeting the Vibrazioni, like Toccamo Ferro, Apre LAvigna, & Co. is falling into a cliché, so is re-evaluating them and attributing artistic value. It's the same argument I've made against Il_Paolo and in general against elevating crappy cinema based on childish nostalgic appeals.

You talk to me about a pan-European perspective and then use an Italian festival like Sanremo as a benchmark? And bringing together cheesy dance music, folk from regional dance halls, and watered-down rock doesn't increase the quality just because it increases the variety.

Why, princess, can you defend these guys? I mean, do they seem honest and genuine in what they do? Because music can be liked or not, it largely depends on how much similar stuff you've already heard in your life, but the attitude is obvious. I think that's what bothers many people first and foremost.

No, I didn't know they were held in such regard! Damn, the Axo group! Well, I've known them for ages and we've smoked a ton of joints together.

Touch Iron and talent are two parallel lines running in opposite directions. If Tiziano Ferro's target isn't adolescent, I contact North Korea and legitimize a nuclear attack on our beautiful country of assholes! Well, a nice North Korean cultural domination sounds tempting though...

"State of Fear" written by a certain Michael Crichton (for the uninitiated: one of the best American writers of the last twenty years) "oh well, yes, Crichton definitely deserves to be counted among the greats. No doubt about it. The only good thing about Crichton is that he studied at MIT in Boston, and I'm saying this as someone who read his books at 12 years old in '88."

I think Eletto is right... or rather, I understand that I also don't like overly aesthetic cinema, too focused on images, but that's basically it... however, just to give an example, if 2001: A Space Odyssey had been verbose, it would have been crap, or rather it would have been another film and would have lost the power of the images... well, as you can see, I'm terrible at (de)scribing cinema, but I hope I've explained myself somewhat.

Damn, you're right, you even wrote it! Well, you got what I meant anyway, I hope...

Congratulations Polè, when you put your mind to it, you can even be light. Nice concise performance and not overly dramatic... great neologism! I saw this film in my adolescence, and I remember it being slow and smoky, I need to make a point of recovering it.
