I double-checked the CD booklet. Scaruffi is right (I can't believe I have to agree with him!), it’s that Alan Parker (the director?). But the bass is played by John Paul Jones. Anyway, think for yourself, question Scaruffi's authority, just to quote Tool.

I think you don't want to understand, then. My referring to the krukki as hippies has a totally positive connotation; if only Italians would go around in camper vans at 60 years old with long hair. Then it's a generalization; there are Germans and Germans, just like there are Italians and Italians. If for you someone who prefers not to stress their children with fears and dangers everywhere is doing harm, you are a parent completely opposite to me. I repeat, I've known a few Germans and my opinion of them is increasingly positive. And all this generalization was meant to connect to Stefan and his music. If you don't get that, the problem is yours. Regarding the question, the answer is: I couldn't care less. I mean, having practically no nationalist sentiment, I always find it childish to cling to cultural affiliations. These are games and fears that I don't feel belong to me. I have no fear in sharing traditions and customs with different cultures, even on Italian soil where I live, because I believe it's the only way to evolve societies. Nonsense like peasant wisdom is just a euphemism to avoid modernity. And this country doesn't even know what modernity means. Specifically, I don't want to say that the forced Italianization of South Tyrol was a good thing; there's no doubt about that. I'm referring to non-forced cultural pollinations. I think that's everything. And stop referring to yourself as a woman; that game was uncovered months ago.

Are you stupid or can't you read Italian? Those were my impressions as a child, and children are famous for being masters of cultural relativism and the contextualization of the same. The clichés are those of a child, then. If you keep reading, it seems quite evident that I no longer think these things. But if you want to make an argument because you're from South Tyrol and think I'm a nationalist, that's your problem, both of you.

Dearest, I'm replying on August 15th, without a vacation, taking care of a crying newborn, waiting for the announced storm, to say that I wanted to download these but then I chose Bowerbirds and Bodies Of Water (which I haven't really listened to). At this point, I will take care of it, but as you know, the parallels with Into The Wild could only harm my listening experience, especially if I imagine that smug face of the actor who played McCandless.

I, on the other hand, am increasingly realizing how and how much the Beach Boys have been first reevaluated (which is perfectly justified) and then excessively exalted. Equating Wilson to Barrett or the Lennon McCartney duo almost makes me laugh by now. It seems to me like an attempt to find misunderstood geniuses everywhere (maybe it's true, but the problem is that for me, Wilson simply didn't have the talent and vision of the three above). Good Vibrations remains a brilliant track, to be sure, but for me, Pet Sounds is an album that has aged quite poorly (which didn't happen to the Beatles, PF of Barrett, Love, Zappa, Beefheart just to name a few creative powerhouses of the 60s). Then of course, it's just my opinion.

Beautiful, congrats. Just these days I was dusting off Hex and bought Laughing Stock by Talk Talk (I almost feel ashamed given my hatred for the '80s). This sounds really interesting; I'll grab it right away.

I downloaded the EP and album, I think at the end of May, early June at most; if you want, I can find the blog again.
Peter Jackson Bad Taste

Beautiful in the trash scale is top-notch (in the sense that it's not just trash but has some brilliant ideas). I also recommend Meet The Feebles, definitely the best thing Jackson has made. Oh, and let's not forget that some scenes were borrowed from famous directors, like the scene with the missing legs in the belly, which is taken from Tarantino's "From Dusk Till Dawn"!

blow up read it yourself, first of all. The internet is full of twenty-something critics, but at least I can read them for free. I downloaded these about a month ago; they're not really my thing, but they seemed interesting. The problem is that this stuff doesn’t say much in the long run; it's an interesting experiment, but it evokes the same sterile feelings in me that an insect does for an entomologist.

In fact, I don't justify it; let's say I always hope that hasty judgments are a result of youth.
