I wanted to get this dear wreck in some way after reading enthusiastic reviews this summer. Now I see and I take action.

@Ioel: yes, I know that for me writing reviews has become an excuse to talk about my own crap. Anyway, regarding the previous Causa Sui albums, I think the second one, Free Ride, is better (but I heard the first one a while ago). They’re good, but they’ve always seemed to me a bit too full of stoner/psych clichés. However, if you’re in a stoner phase (and you don’t know Colour Haze), they can be a real blessing. Anyway, concerning the shipping of vinyl records to my house, I’m crossing my fingers for the Elektrohasch shipment (they seem to be good and don’t send destroyed records), but based on my personal eBay experience, I should avoid it, since the only record I ordered arrived like a cracker.

Thank you, everyone, for coming. Anyway, I didn't say that I would buy everything back in vinyl; I neither have the money nor the foolishness to do so. However, the main problem with the CD is captured in Dreamwarrior's first comment: the charm of the covers is lost. If I have to spend money on a physical music format, at this point, I might as well get it in vinyl so I can enjoy the artwork. Obviously, it's counterproductive now due to the high costs compared to CDs. So I carefully select things I prefer to listen to while lounging on the couch at home. For now, I’m diving into old stuff and relaxing records like this one by Causa Sui. As for used vinyl, it depends, obviously. You just have to try them. However, I've noticed that some old CDs (from friends; I don’t think I have anything on CD from before 1990) now have issues. In my opinion, vinyl, if well taken care of, lasts better. And if you have a good amp and a 180g reissue, it outperforms any CD reissue (a glaring example is the comparison between the latest reissue of Funhouse by the Stooges and the corresponding 180g openable vinyl reissue... there's no comparison!). It's also true that burned CDs (especially those copied about 10 years ago) I often can't listen to anymore.

listened carefully before.... mmmhhh interesting, but there's a lot of swing and jazz referencing, funny lyrics, where's their idea of music? Well, maybe I'm being hasty in my judgments, but it seems to me that aside from the arrangements, back in the day there were plenty of bands that promoted and carried on a personal musical narrative, even just within the circle of the UFO Club. I don't like comparisons, but even just the Deviants are definitely more interesting. Anyway, I hadn't realized that the mockery of Elvis is also the name of a band: Death Cab For Cutie.

Well, one thing I’ve never understood (and you can't figure it out even by reading the relevant part) is this: in Sodom they were having anal sex, okay, so we can't destroy it and that's that. But what the hell were they doing in Gomorrah to deserve the same fate? Zoophiles, necro-copepedophiles, foot fetishists, lovers of golden showers? I mean, I've always thought that God destroyed Sodom and accidentally took Gomorrah with it. Like: let’s nuke Mestre and since it's so close, let’s take out Noale too. In return, and for future interesting reviews on the subject, I’m posting the link to one of my favorite sites for years now: www.thebricktestament.com/

I reread one of their reviews on the Black Widow fanzine (Vincebus Eruptum) just the other day. At the time, I was a bit interested, but the tones were too biased (the band was produced by the reviewer), so I passed. Let's see if I can find it somewhere...

I don’t know guys, unless this is a late-blooming masterpiece (so far, after three careful listens, it doesn’t seem that way), I’ve come to understand that: A) I probably don’t like them, apart from the first EP I wore out back in 2004 B) They’re a bit too pumped up? C) In times of war, every hole is a trench = in times of lean cows (musically speaking), you cling to anyone who rises just a little above the sea of shit that surrounds us. Don’t get me wrong, I find them likable, they’re interesting, but I still can’t wrap my head around why everyone is tearing their clothes.

we don't want to know how much you paid for it, and maybe you wouldn't want to know either, right? Anyway, be careful because I got totally ripped off by a Brazilian mongoloid on eBay regarding vinyl shipments. It arrived broken, shipped with cardboard around it, the idiot. And on top of that, it was a Brazilian reissue of Kanguru by Guru Guru. I hope my 20 bucks went towards a lethal dose of glue.
