nothing essential, but beautifully loud and solid, let’s say they promise well for the upcoming album. Very Comets on Fire during the Blue Cathedral period. Damn, I would have loved to see White Hills but all the dates are out of range, full of methane. Religious Knives and Head of... never heard of them. What do they do?

In fact, over these months, the album had kind of let me down, a bit like my testicles, so I was unsure whether to go for it or not... In the end, after listening to it again, I placed it better and I can't say it's bad, but it's not the amazing thing it seemed a few months ago either. However, the 2.0 slapped down by Pitchfork is just ridiculous, especially when you consider the trash they keep praising endlessly. For now, though, there are two albums on the rise without a doubt: Cloudland Canyon and The Alps, and maybe even the Crystal Antlers (discovered precisely through Pitchfork...)

"My dad is bigger than your dad
He's got eight cars and a house in Ireland, Sing It!" pure genius this band and this album (discovered just when the review came out here on deb and found it for a couple of bucks used a few days later!!!!)

Hello everyone. @Third: I really like Veins To The Sky too, but unfortunately I used it as an example of a well-written piece where the monotonous voice creates issues after a while. @Vì: I can't stand Devendra just by looking at him, and I remember that even his drawings gave me the same physical reactions; maybe I'll give it another go now. @Lewis: he's got nothing to do with Devendra, this Tucker is much more psychedelic and dazed, could resemble Six Organs of Admittance. @popolo: well, we think the same way about both the hippie and even more so about that coed from Bright Eyes. @Sfascia: yes Cannonau, but in general, all wines just bottled are "nervous" and unbalanced. They should all be left to rest for at least a month.

@psycroptic: you have no idea how pissed off my friends Infernal Poetry were! The anecdote came out by chance this summer and it really made me laugh. This one is as true as Padre Pio.

I loved that song to madness too!

@Giubbo: purely personal judgment, in my opinion the first one is more beautiful, more intimate, and more experimental (as much as the Mountains can be, obviously), especially for tracks like No More Hits, which are completely absent here. Now, it's dominated by big keyboards and guitar, sometimes very nice, sometimes bordering on tackiness. Maybe torrent it and see for yourself. I got it, but I don’t really listen to it much.

As written, I believe it's a step back compared to the first and what they hinted at with the EP Drugunaut. I listened to it again just these days, and I can confirm that Queens Will Play is still my favorite, but Tyrants is good too. Thumbs down for Bright Lights and Angels, which are almost cheesy. Anyway, not bad, but unfortunately I was expecting something a bit bolder. 4 as encouragement.

Confirm as many times as you want, Luca, but fortunately music is still a monstrously subjective affair. And of course, I'm a pretentious snob who listens to house, as can be gleaned from my reviews.

Ah, those who say "it’s not true that my voice sounds like Ian Curtis" or whose guitar riff in Obstacle 1 "isn't the same as Marquee Moon," but especially those who go out and put on the first things they find at home... and to think I saw them back in 2002.
