Hideaki Anno Neon Genesis Evangelion (The end of evangelion)

In this review, more than anything, you talked about The End Of Evangelion but the TV series. Furthermore, I apologize, but it is full of mistakes, both typos (rilevati instead of rivelati, Tokio instead of Tokyo, and other spelling errors) and conceptual errors. Lilith did not give birth to men, but to the Lilim, that is, the demons according to Jewish mythology. It’s amusing what I read regarding Lilith, who was cast out because she wanted to be on top during the sexual act, just to reaffirm the phallic and male-centric nature of monotheisms. The series was never finished because Gainax (which at the time was not the giant it is today) ran out of funding. The boom happened after the re-broadcast of the anime six months later. Certainly, a series that marked a "before and after" in the world of Japanese anime at the time. I could never digest the character design, but the story is fabulous, especially the peaks of cynicism and apocalypse in the film "The End Of Evangelion," with Shinji masturbating at the beginning of the anime. I even wrote a few pages of analysis on it for my thesis six years ago.

Mistrà, you are my new favorite deodorant just for your fantastic avatar... a taste is all it takes to make me prefer it... how great the marketing managers of Varnelli are!

I apologize for the mistake! Even after writing it, it felt like I had written something silly! Anyway, I've never been a fan of Conan, so the mistake is understandable... worse if I had written Melnibonean or something similar!

I’ve learned over time to sleep on my back, while before I used to sleep mostly on my stomach. The wonders of technology! Or maybe it’s the only way to avoid ruining my oversized headphones. With the iPod, you have the luxury of making playlists, so I started to put three or four songs max, preferably from different bands.

Thank you all who attended! I see that the illness is common! For a while, when I had a dorm room at university, I listened to music through speakers, but absurdly it gave me more trouble falling asleep than using headphones. Now I have my setup: iPod + Sony DJ headphones + unchanged and unchangeable water; woe to anyone who moves the objects around. Anyway, I’ve also risked my life with earphones multiple times; with big headphones, that doesn’t happen, and especially you sleep better. Oh Alessio, I also know the first 3/4 tracks of many albums by heart, sometimes missing out on great final pieces. I listen to stranger stuff at night: Master Of Puppets with earphones at 18, I remember waking my sister who was sleeping next to me! I still have a fear of Irrlicht by Schulze, for sure nightmares ahead. I really dig the album, ultra relax, shame about the vinyl edition fiasco. Ah, whoever wants it can check the link...

"They have had an impact on the fashion and habits of the time, just like the tronisti have" I will only justify this if you are a teenager. Otherwise, it's heresy, or rather, it's like saying "the communists have ruled for 50 years," as that moron in government does. In other words, it's a historical falsehood. And this is the point: Scaruffi is much more influential than you think because he influences the young minds of young listeners, born and raised with the internet. I, who am 33 years old, had never read him before I was 28/29 and I stopped there. I don’t like his arrogant and absolutist approach; he preaches relativism but always cherry-picks good/bad according to parameters that are absolutely personal presented as objective. That’s why I find him truly barren as a critic and full of blinkers. As for the proposals he makes, despite musical trends (even if now it's him, whether he likes it or not, who sets the trend), sometimes they are interesting, and this is certainly a merit. But I don’t share the desire to "kill the masters" a priori, clinging to nonsensical things like the lack of cultural impact (when many of the bands he idolizes from the '60s declare their respect for the Beatles and especially for their cultural importance). I apologize if I condemned you before understanding your motivations, but that controversy is now so pointless (yet unfortunately it resonates with young people who can’t wait to tear down the idols to destroy them – something I can share, but with criteria and serious foundations, not just randomly) that it makes me itch to see it resurfaced. Nowadays, those who dabble in '60s music don't blindly worship the Beatles; the wheel has turned, and it seems to me that it is precisely the mass of music enthusiasts who condemn them a priori because they are "not experimental enough" and so on. Obviously, the "mass" that listens to the radio is the uncritical mass you mention. In my opinion, neither the Velvet nor Zappa had much weight in the culture of the 20th century, and I'm not talking about restricted circles, but of the mass above. And anyway, be careful to venerate only those groups that were years ahead in the '60s: we often like them now because contemporary bands (or those within two decades) drew inspiration from them. If that hadn't happened, would we be here praising them? A little bit yes and a little bit no. And then, when it comes to a Cromagnon album, I'm sorry but I still prefer Revolver, in its "predictable" linearity. Strange is not necessarily synonymous with cool or beautiful.

I was ironic and a bit of a smartass, I admit. It's just strange for me to see a character from a novel (like Elric) associated with one that is the product of a D&D session. I mean, Raistlin is clearly inspired by the junkie from Melnibone. Back when I was a young lad, I enjoyed the Dragonlance saga and the Forgotten Realms. Of course, if I analyze them from a more general perspective, they’re just mediocre when it comes to literature. Elric too, re-read about five years ago, I mean, as an "adult," loses much of its charm and shows some significant writing flaws. Moorcock, however, deserves a monument just for having collaborated in the '70s with the glorious Hawkwind.

At this point, I would like to get the EP. I was just listening to Microcastle these days, and at least from what I remember of this cryptogram, they seem like a different band! Very Mercury Rev, but definitely more harmless. Not that it's a bad thing, since I remember this one being a bit frayed. It's not even bad when I think about it, but I still need to figure out why it doesn't grab me.
