I quite liked it too, a lot! I admit it’s been about 10 years or so since I last heard it (I think I have it on a cassette), and 47 made me feel nostalgic. I also agree with the dig at Black Mountain from the last, overrated album.

roof are the same track.... the first is the intro, the second (which repeats cover me, comfort me) is Agoraphobia. I also like it more than Cryptograms for now, given its easy listening appeal.... but I often distrust easy listening... anyway, the second CD is better, I confirm. The first one has a significant quality gap between tracks 3 and 8, then it picks up again at the end (the blues ballad of the last track, Twilight qcosa, is beautiful).

"stay calm and moderate your terms, it's better!" comment 76. Just above comment 51: "all those who gave a 5/4 can go fuck themselves!" So make up your mind. I give it a 4/5, I’m not going to fuck off, but if you really want, I'll gift you a modified GPS that will guide you safe and sound, without any engine strain, to the place closest to you where you might (perhaps) lose your anal virginity. But remember to always be true to the line, even when it’s not there.

How nice, I’m only just getting to this album now, a year after the chaos began. I was listening to it in the car on my way to work, and I have to say that the impact is much better than what Vasco’s face and the comments online promised. The biggest flaw is monotony (as someone mentioned above), but I like how he writes and sings. The resemblance to Rino (but if you dig into early Vasco - the one from Zocca -) is impressive. The thing that left me most stunned is that by a strange coincidence, I felt personally referenced when he sings "l'esercito del Sert"; perhaps he heard it from some Ferrarese friend of mine, or maybe we share the same silly sense of humor. Actually, it had also happened with Bugo; I had a t-shirt that said "Lo-Fi o Ce sei?" long before Bugo sang it. <End of the self-referential corner>

I've actually been wanting to repost a comment for a while, to say that this album has really gone downhill, and it's actually quite bad. I mean, props for trying to reinvent themselves and change something in their sound post Deserter, but the turn has led to a dark, cold road filled with plastic 80s buildings. And I like beaches, palm trees, flat tops, Ford Mustangs, and coconut milk.

Hi super, I had my eye on this, but the Year of the Leopard (the only other one I listened to) left me a bit cold. Maybe I'll give it another try.

Sloburn all my life. For me, this was the end of the puzzle for the "canonical" stoner... then came a less monolithic and more fun stoner, and I started buying again.

Well, I would really be a lunatic if I were always there obsessing over it! Lately, I've been really into Blow Up anyway (which is kind of the same thing). Yeah, I mean, controversy is my lifeblood, unfortunately.

I'm torn, Northern. I've read millions of reviews online over the last six months, and I've avoided it like the plague. Then I felt like giving it a try, and I have to say I kind of like it. I'm not voting because I feel it a bit and, aside from the first album, I don't have a clear idea about it. I liked Cryptograms halfway, but after three months I set it aside; this honestly feels like the album of another band. I mean they don't relate anymore, maybe for the little I've heard, Weird Era reminds me of Crypt, but Microcastle is on another level.
