The Gris Gris Live At The Creamery
Voto:
Ah thanks fusillo, can you believe I found the vinyl of Dr. John in Tokyo and I let it slip away. What a fool! Thanks Bartle as usual for the help! At this point, go ahead and change the other review with the tea so they’re all together. Bye!

Hello everyone. I have a kind of reverence for Gris Gris, so maybe my analysis isn't objective, but they were truly great. @caz: I never understood if they are called with THE in front or not, it was like that on the first album and then the article disappeared. But do you like them?
Massimo Volume Lungo i bordi

I join in the compliments blech, and produce more! I have a vague and drunken memory of Massimo Volume, a live concert in the province of Ancona in the summer of '95, followed by little or nothing, lost in a beautiful post-adolescent depression, post two of spades. Yeah, not exactly a fantastic memory.

Seen by plane last week... I don't know, I thought it would be worse, it's watchable. Of course, if you dwell on all the clichés and common places it's filled with, you might get angry, but it reaches a certain level of adequacy thanks to the divine Penelope who screams in her nightgown!

but is it taken from the corresponding novel?
Hayao Miyazaki Ponyo Sulla Scogliera
Voto:
I don't think I'll be able to see it, but I'll give it a try. Last week I was in Japan, and months after its release, there were still kids on television singing the Ponyo song. Those who have seen it confirm that it has a childlike tone, but I hope it's at least better than Howl (which for me remains the least interesting and most confusing). To be honest, Miyazaki isn't exactly known for his brilliant screenplays. Even Spirited Away had some significant and almost incoherent gaps, but it compensated with stunning visual inventions. Looking closely, maybe Mononoke remains the most cohesive, at least among those from the last 15 years. Howl already had an atrocious translation, so I think if I can, I'll download the original. Unfortunately, I also believe that the translation from Japanese, like from many Asian languages, often distorts everything, because either it heavily adapts the meaning, or it tries to be as faithful as possible to the text and risks linguistic nonsense. I could mention a ton of common Japanese expressions that are untranslatable into Italian.

Found it used for 4 euros and grabbed it. At least now I can say I've finished all the Mercury ones that I like. And I had forgotten about this fantastic review. Bye Fest, we miss you.

Well, in the end, I found it for 10 euros and I got it. It still has some holes, but some pieces are really nice. But is it just me, or does Never Stops heavily remind you of Every Breath You Take by the Police? And Nothing Ever Happened at the beginning sounds like Gimme Some Lovin'???
