I know it doesn't sound even a bit 80's, but sometimes that's just the drum mix. Well, I guess I’ll have to revisit it too, maybe I'll change my mind.

Oh, but I quite like the last one, not everything, but some tracks are beautiful. Definitely better than In The Future by B.M., and I'll write a few lines about it soon.

I'm sorry, but I've never been able to understand them; it must be my idiosyncrasy with the '80s. I tried and tried, and they didn’t tell me anything, absolutely nothing. Well, damn, will you hate me for this?

If you know the background, this can't help but make you shit meteorites a couple of kilometers, at least. Maybe as an album in itself it might be acceptable for some, but compared to what came before, it's terribly crap.

I also prefer the first one, but there are some strange and a bit flashy things about the second that I end up liking (I'm justifying my dear vinyl purchase...)

I love Jack Black, and some parts of the movie are stupidly genius (the lyrics of the song he sings to Meat Loaf as a kid are brilliant, not to mention the showdown with the devil and his triple bass drum with 666 on it). Anyway, a lot of fan of certain metal poseurs love this album, but maybe they don't realize it's a huge mockery of that attitude and rockstar culture in general. Anyway, aside from these two scenes, the movie is not watchable.

I wanted to download it, but The Mars Volta had really messed with my head after Frances the Mute. But almost, almost, I'm tempted.

For heaven's sake, I don't consider Chavez an enlightened figure, but I think the same could happen (and used to happen) if you show up in Nebraska wearing a T-shirt with the hammer and sickle. Anyway, from what I hear from locals, it doesn't seem like a regime as you say it is. Of course, neither you nor I have lived there to speak with full knowledge of the facts. Just as I am willing to admit the lack of freedom in some of the countries you mention, I hope you also agree that Abu Ghraib (since that's where you took your cue) was not managed according to all the international standards regarding prisoners of war, human rights, etc. Am I wrong?

Beautiful Bartle, I've always snubbed them but you're making me want to redeem myself! @chupa: my sister's boyfriend is Venezuelan, and from what he tells me, Venezuela has nothing to do with Iraq and North Korea; there’s more poverty than here, but it’s similar to many other places in South America. If you’re referring to Chavez, then I’ll pass; the fair of clichés generated in recent years makes me feel nauseous. @bartolo&amicipsicostoneranti: I'll throw some band names at you, let me know what you think (I'm suspending judgment lately): Sleepy Sun, Akhmed, Black Math Horseman, Cave - Psychic Summer (these are interesting), the latest Giant Brain, Quest For Fire, the latest Warlocks, and I’ll also throw in the massive Rated O by Oneida.

What the hell are you saying? The chip shot was Savicevic's, and it was also the first and only time I cheered for Milan, just for the arrogance of that Barca. And anyway, the Milan of '88 wasn't the same Milan that came after it, not by a long shot. And you can snort all the coke you want, it doesn't mean it'll improve your performance continuously (because that's the crux of the matter). And enough with the moralizing, drug addict, junkie, it doesn't seem to me that, from the conversations we had four years ago in here, you're a staunch prohibitionist, right? So let's avoid these judgments. I'm a Juve fan too, but I understand the joy of a Maradona scoring five goals against the lawyer's team, especially because that Juve (Hassler, Baggio, Di Canio) had the ambitions of a Dream Team, but the play of a group of Central African orangutans (remind you that we didn't even make it to UEFA that year, thanks to Genoa and Skhuravy...who remembers the Czech who lasted one season?). Juve somewhat recovered in '93 with that pretty boy Moeller (but he was good) and definitely with the rise of Moggi. And here I don’t know if I should be happy about it or not. For sure, he bought whoever he wanted at the price he said (the Zidane deal is proof of that).
