"I am the symbol of today's appearance, of the unrestrained consumerism that is part of Western everyday life more than Eastern. This is because the former seems to take pleasure in itself while the Japanese condemn it, even admitting to being somewhat shy of it as well." Here I can't follow you, would you say that the consumerism represented by the Winx is a mirror of an accepted Western consumerism, while Japanese consumerism is different because condemning it, they are aware of it and thus use it differently? I sincerely hope I've misunderstood, otherwise there are some gaps to fill. What makes me laugh the most is that, as I've written above, the one managing the Winx brand and probably exaggerating its frivolous and consumerist vein is actually the Japanese wife of the owner. But it all makes a lot of sense, because if, as you say, you've been to Japan (like me who lived there), you would have seen that consumerism is even more extreme there than here. Half of the students I taught Italian to, when I asked them about their hobbies, candidly replied: "Shoppingu." Anyway, it's too long of a discussion, I’ll get back to work.

I don't find anything hardcore in Puya, maybe it's because I sold it 6/7 years ago, after getting it in Tokyo in '99 (and to think that I liked it a lot, I think that if I listened to it now I would almost laugh).

Well done Blech, I have this by them, Love, Space Hell and something else, plus a vinyl from a Japanese label (it's on the aforementioned absolute blog). What can I say, more than the value of the group itself, as Super points out, it's the curiosity they spark in researching obscure bands that were born and died between '69 and '72, many of which are remarkable.

Is Cappero already out??? I'm ordering it right away! If it pleases you, Appestato, I also have a used Stanton, and to my one-year-old daughter I've already said the same things, but usually she looks at me with a look that seems to say "what the hell are you saying, who the hell understands that?". She'll understand, she'll understand...

Honestly, I can't read it all, but wasting all this time on Sailor Moon means you have a lot of it to spare. And I wouldn't be shocked by the comparison with the Winx, given that they are a direct offspring (I know who invented them, that is, the designer). If you add that the studio that made them, Rainbow, owes its fortune (besides the money from the Holy House of Loreto) also and especially to the owner’s wife, who is Japanese and, from what I've been told, a total crazy bitch but knows how to make money.

a beautiful film, showcasing psychological violence unimaginable for the time. And the figure of Mitchum as the crazy preacher is brilliant.

Complaints received, I’m sorry to have used you as a scapegoat for my post-holiday blues, but the basic concept (at least for me) is this: if one must (re)write about an album that has already been reviewed, they should at least try to go in different directions, provide new interpretations or whatever the hell it is. And honestly (as hasty as I was in saying you write nonsense), yours doesn’t seem to add much. In any case, if for you writing here is about the thrill of being present or the 15 minutes of fame, that’s your choice. At this point, I think I’m the only one left writing and reading for the joy of discovering something new or rediscovering something old. The site, at least for me, works that way; since it’s free, everyone does whatever the hell they want with it. And since it’s free, I’m free to get angry if things don’t go my way. Ah, I know Gerda; they’re from my part of the world if I’m not mistaken.

Good job, Ale. I had been going around in circles with this review for a while and in the end I abandoned it. And honestly, I think I’ll buy it (actually, I had thought about preordering it on vinyl around three months ago, but I would have ended up not listening to it at home; my daughter would have gone crazy) but on CD. The problem is that I can't form an opinion about the album. I listened to the first one more because it seemed like an incomprehensible mess to me, and I couldn't wrap my head around it. It remains quite a mess, even if it has its own intricate elements. The second and the third are more easily understandable for those who know Oneida, even if everything seems a bit frayed. In any case, I’ll get it because I know that in three years I’ll still be listening to it (I hope).

But wasn't it already there by chance? And wasn't it even better, or am I mistaken? Is all this need to write four nonsense about a gloriously beautiful album like this just for the sake of "being there" and nothing more?
