I never said that Griffith's film is crap because it is old. I have never criticized a film solely based on its plot except in glaring cases (like in the case of Griffith) and always making sure not to overlook the rightly technical aspects (as mentioned in my comment on your review: and read it carefully). And "you don't know the history of cinema" is something you should say to your dog.

Poletti, I wouldn't want to descend into petty and personal criticism, but to consider "The Birth of a Nation" even a masterpiece (today) is truly a sign of being the pretentious elites of nonsense. For those who don't know it, I recommend watching it after taking at least a gram of cocaine (otherwise, you'll fall asleep immediately). Summary of the plot: "In a quiet and xenophobic American settlement, some fearsome BLACKS arrive with the intent to be enslaved. Panic ensues. Naturally, two of these DIRTY BLACKS attempt to rape a gentle white maiden. The Americans invent the revolver and take out the BASTARD BLACKS. Meanwhile, Lincoln is justifiably assassinated. Something else happens, the scene becomes dark and satanic (images tinted in a glaring red), and some hooded guys appear. Thank goodness. Thanks to the Klu Klux Klan, the world is saved." Okay. At this point, aside from the technical innovation of alternating editing (which is already present in "Life of an American Fireman") and the trope of the chase (which is also in its own way in the firefighter's film), "The Birth of a Nation" is (let me say it) a fucking piece of shit film.
