strange record. so closely related to the idea that generated it (making an album that sounds like the pop you hear on the radio at the hairdresser's) that it hits you right in the balls immediately. it's kind of cute that he didn't even meet with the other participating musicians but instead made a sort of collage of mp3s, exchanging them over the net and each doing their part. but as an album, it really hits you in the balls. "Patton get to making harsh-noise, for Christ's sake."

but goddamn... how can you bring Chaplin into the conversation about Easy Rider? I mean... it has nothing to do with it! and what kind of discussions are those related to the "content" of the film? maybe cinema is also about risk, the lack of openness to the future, the resignation of a form that lives on itself and its infinitely inherent present? do the words "New American Cinema" mean anything to you? your yardstick, Poletti, forgive me, is too institutional. you sound like a waiter.

the thing seems definitive: just one opposing or different opinion (no matter how justified and valid) is enough to spark a brawl. is debaser going to hell or are we really in bad shape, like really bad?

In fact, pshycopompe, I never said that the Gospels are reliable sources. I only said that when you watch a movie with pretensions and obtuseness, you often end up (stupid people often end up) bringing up topics like "truthfulness and historical reliability." It seems that Gibson has become the new untouchable just because he is a fervent or fanatical believer. I couldn't care less about his faith, his beliefs, or whether there are Kellog's in his pantry. I simply saw an EXCELLENT film, more than that, one of the best films about Christ that I have ever seen. P.S.: Punisher, if you get angry over a bad rating given to one of your clones... you are in bad shape.

Christ is "earthly." It is precisely because of this that The Passion is an excellent film. an "earthly" film. while the Gospels are literature. the epic, the transcendental, the myth, the meaning, the sense of believing, history as History (a topic much discussed by the foolish)... elements that are simply mere digressions. The Passion is an "earthly" film.

and then he's not an average kid (more like a middle finger), and it's not an average family. the McCullister house (typical average surname, huh?) does it seem like an "average" house to you?
