The album is very nice, but the Dillinger of Ire Works (not new to a musical approach like "I’m inspired by this and that band") really draw heavily from Neck’s Should My Fist Eye, which I encourage you to rediscover.

I saw Ovo at the anti-MTV day in Bologna. A truly theatrical performance, so much so that I felt like calling them "dramatic rock." Now I will try to get my hands on these. Thank you for the review and the tip. These folks really deserve to have fans.

I don't know, I've never been able to find anything groundbreaking in Incunabula. I remember the dozens of reviews I read months before buying it. Everyone said it was something absolutely extraordinary. When I got home, though, I felt something very ordinary instead. Tracks with an even linear pace. I took it back to the store and exchanged it for LP5. The clerk gave me a really hard look, but who cares. I prefer everything that comes after Incunabula, and even Untilted isn’t bad at all. It may sound like déjà vu, but Autechre has given so much to electronic music (their style has influenced and shaped an entire landscape), that they can afford to rethink the past as well. I agree with Mike76 when he says that Incunabula is overrated.
