I can see myself a bit in this review; when everyone at school was listening to Californication, I was blasting "Blood Sugar" and "One Hot Minute" in my head from morning till night, great times! In my opinion, this is a good album, but it’s not the masterpiece everyone claims it to be, so just to annoy someone, I’ll say I actually prefer "One Hot Minute", even if only slightly. But the early Red Hot were a whole different thing; "Mothers Milk" is by far my favorite and it’s a notch above this, a peak they've never even come close to since.
