I don't care about "ruining record labels" if they don't ruin music and (underpay) musicians (especially those I follow the most). As for prices, I don't see much difference (just a few euros) between our market and the U.S. market, considering they have the largest production at home, but try to see how much many CDs from European labels cost in America. Then, okay, maybe I'm a bit crazy, but I prefer having a collection of originals (of course, if someone listens to or wants 200 records a month, it’s also understandable that they might duplicate some). Thinking that you have a piece of art at home for a lifetime, the prices don’t seem that outrageous to me (a beer at a pub costs you 4 euros, 8 euros for the cinema, and I won’t list a thousand other things!!!).

I have Tippett's "Mujician I, II," "III," and "Une Croix dans L'Ocean," and he is an astounding pianist for me. I'm missing this older work, but I will try to track it down.

A magnificent and unmissable album, the review is extraordinary. Grasshopper, I understand that you save about 9.90 euros by not buying it, but unfortunately, this hurts the record labels which then cut funding precisely on the less commercial music (they certainly don't take it away from Michael Jackson or anyone like him), and jazz is exactly one of these, which pains me deeply (anyway, do as you like).

I almost forgot "Egea" as the Italian record label for which Pieranunzi has recorded extensively with splendid results; Bollani's latest is in my shopping cart, while I already have the Trovesi and Gianni Coscia from ECM and I confirm that it is an album with truly intense atmospheres (I highly recommend it).

Grasshopper, I confirm what Hal said about Italian jazz, and I would like to add other notable record labels for Italian jazz and beyond, namely "Black Saint / Soul Note" and the recent "El Gallo Riojo," which produce excellent products and music of the highest quality. It should not be forgotten that the landscape of Italian jazz is superb; we are recognized all over the world. I was reading on "Musica Jazz," which reported the annual survey of the prestigious American magazine "Down Beat," where Enrico Rava is in 4th place in the ranking of trumpeters (only Hargrove, Dave Douglas, and Marsalis are ahead of him, excuse me if that's not much). Bollani is 10th among pianists, Gabriele Mirabassi is 12th, and Trovesi is also 10th among clarinetists. In short, we have excellent jazz in our homeland.

Great review, I also saw it on Musica Jazz as the album of the month, I absolutely have to buy it. By the way, I have "Kosmopolities" by the Fresu quintet which is really beautiful, so I will definitely get this one too.

Grasshopper, what are you waiting for to get your hands on such a masterpiece? You can find it for only 9.90 euros!

Both "Portrait" and "Live at the Village," as well as many others, I already have; this one I was missing. Mullah, as soon as it arrives, I'll listen to it and I'll let you know.

Alright, so I reconfirm my vote for the review and also for the album.
