uahahahahhahaha! after "tengo na minchia tanta" by Zappa, this review was just what we needed! ah, Necron, Kevin Moore has gone to make techno music...

"I certainly haven't listened to the album just once," that was obvious. The fact is that you started to experience the whole album uniformly; you should extract attws from the album and listen to it, as you say, with more attention...

uhm... I made a slip-up: I wrote nightfall in middle HEART... the H needs to be moved from the first to the last letter of the word, that is EARTH!

Reading your review, I agree with almost everything. In fact, the rating I gave to this album is 3; it's not an amazing album, but it's not a piece of garbage either. I only disagree with your opinion on "and then there was silence." I think you were too "tired" (or rather, you were already down in the dumps) when you listened to that track; I had bought the single, so I listened to it without considering the rest of the album "a night at the opera," and I can assure you that I appreciated it as a masterpiece, almost like "nightfall in middle-earth." It's never trivial (it's not 13 minutes of continuous drumming or whatever; there are also some really beautiful moments of silence) and it's compelling like nothing else from Blind Guardian. I recommend that you set this album aside for a few months and then listen to JUST "attws."

"just because I like metal, I say this album is bad" is what I said. They are a musical band trying to express the epic charge of their tracks in the best way possible, and you can feel it (or rather, you can barely perceive it) right from Tales from the Twilight World; Stauch, on the other hand, was more attached to a thrash tradition than to an artistic one, and so he chose to take the "right path" by copying Imaginations through Savage Circus! "with this, they really messed up big time, it was probably what Hansi wanted" but what the hell are you saying? Do you think a band tries to do their worst? Come on...

"and now that you've made me resurface some bastard memories, I kindly send you to hell and say goodbye"; POINT ONE: no one knew what happened to you (and still no one knows); POINT TWO: shocking things happen to everyone, you are not the only one so don’t think you are misunderstood; POINT THREE: it is absolutely not an objective reason to consider this group a "good group"; POINT THREE "A": the only compliments for pulling yourself up from a bad situation go solely and exclusively to you, they have nothing to do with it; POINT THREE "B": well, I also like Yes because they were the background to a beautiful story, but I adore them not for that and I don’t consider them fabulous for that reason, rather because they have great technique and above all great creativity; TO CONCLUDE: there’s no point in getting angry with people just because you can’t overpower them or because you’re feeling bad, a great proverb says "if you can't beat them, join them" ;-)

You don't like it because you're too attached to metal; this is a search for a new style, for a new music: the b-g are a true musical band, they make music and don't always serve the same old soup!

punk tradition? damn, 20 years before this!!!! this isn't an album, it's a whiny record on loop, not just because the songs are all the same as each other, but also because they're identical to the "usual" punk tunes from TWENTY years before this album was released!!!!!
