Now I would like to say something to that passionate Vasco fan, SilverBlasco. Previously, Giorrrrrgio questioned some of Vasco's lyrics, claiming they didn't make sense. Since I can't mention them all, I'll give you a few examples from the "Odiatori di Vasco" forum, which can be found at
I would just like to know what kind of phrase that is? Or if you know an artistic side to it, let me know? But don't even dare to say that there is a rhyme because "così" doesn't rhyme with "così" since they are the same word, and placing "ma credo di sì" at the end of the phrase (thus rendering the phrase... to say the least ridiculous) to make it rhyme with the two "così" makes me feel two "così" frustrated!
And then there’s this line, from one of Vasco’s most famous songs and considered one of the most beautiful, and just from the lyrics I'm about to quote, you can tell it was written in the moment:
"E con la faccia pulita
cammini per strada mangiando una
mela coi libri di scuola.
Ti piace studiare
non te ne devi vergognare"
Eeeeeeeeeh? What? "Camminiammini per strada mangiando una mela coi libri di scuola"? But do the books taste like watermelon? Maybe he eats them with his eyes when he reads (ah, ah, so funny) but for the rest, what sense does such a phrase make? Couldn't he write "Camminiammini per strada coi libri di scuola mangiando una mela"? Now that makes sense! But no, that’s not how he wrote it! Besides, he didn’t have to take anything into account, because there are no rhymes! Mah! In my opinion, Vasco is the predecessor of all that nonsensical genre from the 85-90s! There, yes, then he is an artist!
And then I don’t understand why someone should be ashamed if they like studying. At most, they might be envious because others don't study and still manage, or they might feel stupid. Or they could feel embarrassed because others make jokes, but ashamed, no! Absolutely not! One feels ashamed when they know they have done something wrong, but in this case, it just doesn’t fit.
Well. Huge props for "Dottor Rossi": a degree, doing almost exclusively that for a living (writing lyrics, because he isn’t capable of music)... and that little he does, he even does poorly! Come on!!! Besides, if someone is in a band, my dear SilverBlasco, where the whole group works, not just the singer (who is primarily the "symbolic character" of the group), why should he name a band after himself instead of giving it a name like "I Vibratori" or "Litfrizza" or things like that? Since he only writes the lyrics and doesn't compose the music and thus considers himself an artist, couldn't he just be a poet instead of doing something that doesn’t suit him? Isn't it a bit megalomaniac to do what he has done? Isn't it foolish to follow a megalomaniac? Filling a place just because others go there isn’t stupid? Doing things without thinking isn’t stupid? Doing and thinking and speaking based on "what I've heard" like all those who listen to Vasco (because if there's a minimum of understanding of what music and art are, when you hear music, it’s as important as knowing what a bike is before you start riding it, and once you know what art is, you understand that Vasco Rossi is not an artist) isn’t it stupid? In short, to judge and give opinions without wanting to engage in a discussion, so much so that as soon as a serious conversation starts, your legs get cut out from under you because you don't know what you're saying or at least you know nothing about what is being discussed, and despite this, you believe you’re right, doesn't it mean being stupid?
If you really want to tell me you’re not stupid, prove it: tell me why everything I just said could mean being intellige
