not entirely in agreement with jetto (for me, Iron Maiden have always released decent albums, and some excellent ones with Bruce)

I wanted to say "when someone says Steve go, I absolutely do not think of the one who plays 4000 notes per minute..."

The sky overture is so beautiful... I confirm :-) Anyway, I completely agree with jetto, the main goal of Vai is not to play 400,000,000 notes per minute, but to experiment or at least to search for something different... (Even at the melody level, not necessarily technical...). When someone says Steve Vai, I absolutely do not think of him as someone who plays 4000 notes per minute (maybe the same can be said for Malmsteen and his clones). Vai is someone who experiments, but that seems obvious to me (I mean, everyone knows that): he uses a ton of techniques: tapping, finger picking, legato, harmonizer, he does impressive lever pulls and spans across many genres (from blues to metal..). If he does play 4000 notes per minute, usually half of the notes have a different flavor from one another (in the sense that "they are played in a totally different way).

Since you really like power metal (am I wrong?), and so do I, could you do some reviews on some beautiful power CDs that might not be very famous? These reviews are useful for discovering new bands, but the albums (like this one) are pretty useless.

Marco, you're too mean :-) even though you're right, the judgment that ajejebrazorf has on Vai seems very superficial to me... (you're flooding my poooost)
