Thank you to everyone who has joined us so far. @Stoopid: It was a duty to write a page about such an important and often overlooked artist. @everyone: I was pleased to notice that the more classical among you have certainly listened to him. @kanniato: I also have a story similar to yours, in the sense that I started with a classical guitar approach (which I still hold in great esteem) and then moved on to blues, and finally to metal, which I've played much more than all the other genres... but that's another story. Are you new?

I would not be surprised, Fidia; there are also Polish black groups that talk about Aryanism and related themes. However, I don’t seem to understand from this review that the group is Nazi...
Burzum Filosofem

Dear Stefano, I was aware of the possibility you described and dared to listen to the discussed Burzum, taking this very album as an example, since your review struck me deeply. What you say is true; this album, in its sounds and atmospheres, has a certain "charm." Sick as you define it, and perhaps only a being as mad as the aforementioned could write this stuff. However, to be precise, I would like to clarify something about the term black metal, which often tarnishes the entire genre, connecting me precisely to the sounds of the album in question. I believe that what makes metal in an album like this could be its philosophy, its "alternativeness"; it certainly isn’t its sounds that make it metal (track 5 is a synth riff repeated for about 10 minutes, as you well know). I find some definitions more accurate where alongside the genre b.m., the word ambient is also associated. These two genres vie for 50% of this album. That said, the objectivity of things lies in knowing how to approach them correctly and reflect on them. Burzum, for what it has done, for its ideologies, will always be a vile being. But its creativity here, to be honest, has been remarkable. That said, I speak of music and nothing more; I would never consider this album one of my favorites or worthy of note in my knowledge, but I had to do it for my personal culture. The 4 solely goes to the music.

Great! I agree with Renè about honesty and the documentation provided. Segovia was a master; I had the opportunity to study some of his transcriptions back when I started playing guitar seriously, truly a genius. Today, I mainly focus on neo-classical and metal, but I can't forget the memory of Bach's transcriptions, and the hours spent whipping my nails on the strings :) - The comparison with Hendrix is spot on in my opinion; it gives a good idea for those who are unfamiliar with him. I haven't listened to this one, but knowing Segovia's other interpretations, I can confidently give it a 5, based on trust and his contribution to music.

The initial reflection didn’t impress me much; you kind of lost yourself in "unconnected" ideas aimed at describing the motive and philosophy of the black metal movement, which to be honest, didn’t come out well. As for the idea of searching for black metal bands in the middle of nowhere (meaning "not in the usual places"), it’s not really worth it... you can do it for personal culture if you are crazy in love with the genre.

I still hadn't noticed this review, I must be completely out of it, it’s been here for days. Beautiful, really, compliments to you and to the great BB King, who I also saw here the other day at the Bagnoli beach. So I have no doubt that the show at Villa Pisani was a 5-star experience!

A decent album, but in my opinion, not very groundbreaking. A good review overall, well done. The video you mentioned is nice.
