...my 5 essentially goes to the concert that was and to Pink Floyd, certainly not to EMI for the DVD release.

I would rather say that the next release of Pulse will be tied to the upcoming technology supporting video storage. I own the VHS of this concert, bought 10 years ago, which doesn't have the "extras" included in this one, and what can you do, it's normal that a reprint on a new medium also implies, from a commercial standpoint, the classic padding to throw smoke in the eyes. Personally, I believe that nowadays it takes quite a bit of courage to buy a double DVD, and especially a not insignificant expense, so those who, like me, have always followed the Floyd find the latest releases (best of, is there anybody out there...) perfectly useless, and they look good where they are, on the shelves. I would only recommend the purchase to those who do not yet own it, as I believe that even from a collectible standpoint it doesn’t have great value, except for the fact that video cassettes demagnetize over time while DVDs do not.

If someone wanted you to meet the same fate as Darrell, where would you prefer them to shoot you? In the ass? ASSHOLE!!! Outrageous review.

Good review, an extremely important artist, of whom I only really know the great Clash, to tell the truth. Better late than never, I will try to fill this gap as soon as possible.

You've made me nostalgic, I’m off to listen to rock the casbah right away. Great review, and great Joe.

I haven't listened to this yet, and who knows if I will. I agree with you that other big bands in this vein have overstuffed their songs with power, and if this album is as you say it should appeal to me, as long as it's not like Swamplord, of which I don't have a very fond memory.
