Sure, you can say that now they're a bunch of clowns, and I agree with you. You can also say that Lars technically sucks, but you can't say that Kirk doesn't know how to play, and above all, you can't say that all of their albums are terrible. As for the album, I agree with you; they've ruined themselves, and one could even consider this one of the shittiest albums in the history of metal, assuming you can define it as such. I consider the "black album" the beginning of the end for Metallica, meaning when they started to see money pouring in and completely lost their minds.
