This album has been very underrated, but it's not bad at all; I definitely prefer it to the previous "Like Gods Of The Sun," where MDB had gotten a bit soft.

Really a nice album, certainly not among the best of the band but definitely pleasant and unique. The review is very good, although I don't agree on Facelift which I consider an excellent album.

I didn’t mind them at all; in the Hard Rock/Metal scene, they’ve been one of the best bands in recent years, a notch above many other more famous (and pathetic) little bands.

And instead, he should set an example. I fully agree.

Very valid.

Let's say I find it quite ridiculous (a bit like "Suicidal Black," so to speak) and misleading. One might read it and think of some incredibly heavy and unlistenable music, but that's not the case; a My Dying Bride or Paradise Lost album is heavier. I actually find the music of Skepticism even relaxing.

I would like to add that the term "Funeral Doom" is absolutely terrible, even though it has now become a proper label. I really don’t know who might have invented it, but it certainly doesn’t do justice to the music of bands like Thergothon or Skepticism.

Great, I really didn’t expect to find a review of Thergothon in these pages. What can I say? They are part of those Doom Metal bands from the early '90s that practically disappeared almost immediately because they were ignored, despite their remarkable musical merit, and then were re-evaluated later. Today, Thergothon is a legend in the Underground scene, along with other groups like Winter, Dusk, or Disembowelment, with whom they share an extreme and then innovative conception of Doom as well as their unfortunate fate. Their first demo is historically even more important than the album; by the way, I have the original (the reissue, of course, thanks Eibon Records). One last note: the members of Thergothon haven’t entirely vanished from the scene but are still active in a band called This Empty Flow (coincidentally, still on Eibon's catalog) devoted to a Dark Wave proposal, of which I can say very little since I’ve unfortunately never listened to them.

Dear Mr. Junkman, now I understand your choice to metaphorize the group in question. I must say that I am even more curious to present these barbarians of sound for listening. I greet you with the axe and the hammer.
