Listen to the rain falling day by day... depression... desolation... outburst... after three electric albums, Godsmack presents us with a collection of acoustic tracks, consisting of 5 unreleased songs and 2 old songs revisited in an instrumental key (re-align and keep away). The Other Side begins with the words of a desperate man looking back and unable to find anything that can save him... with broken wings I know I'll die...
Re-align is another introspective track in which the man, increasingly alienated from society, is besieged by nightmares and fears...
My fears come alive in this place where I once died, demons dreaming, knowing I-I just needed to re-align. .
Beautiful are the percussion of Touche and the visionary Voices. Keep Away is the anthem to sing to your worst enemy, while the mystical Spiral represents the manifesto of human uncertainty...
Are we just dreaming? Always we search for the answers but nothing is found. We fly away again. .
Asleep is the last stage of Godsmackian desolation. . Despite the undoubted inspiration from Alice in Chains (let's remember that the name Godsmack comes from a song by the Seattle group), the band currently represents one of the few interesting proposals in the hard rock scene, and with this acoustic album has fully demonstrated its artistic completeness. Some, not without reason, consider The Other Side a commercial operation due to its short duration and relatively high price. I won't tell you to buy it, but I highly recommend you listen to it.
