Nevermore This Godless Endeavor
Voto:
You are absolutely right about "Enemies Of Reality," a mediocre album hampered by a caveman production. I've heard great things about this one, though.

It doesn't grab me too much, but Sober is one of the best songs by Tool.
Carpathian Forest Black Shine Later
Voto:
Yeah, but unfortunately some characters just don’t have the guts to set an example..

Wow, they're engaged in serious challenges up there in Scandinavia.. If you're in the mood for grotesque interviews, take a look at those of Herr Morbid, another heavy hitter (leader of Forgotten Tomb); you can find one here: 404 - File or directory not found. In particular, read the part where he talks about suicide..

Uh... These guys really come off as idiots to me. Maybe I'm wrong, but the attitude seems idiotic. You must have messed up the album title (isn't it "Black Shining Leather"?)
P.S.: Is the anonymous person above serious? If so, condolences to their head...
Celtic Frost Morbid Tales
Voto:
One of the best Metal bands of the '80s, essential. Still, I don't think this is one of their best works, but it's a great springboard towards the subsequent albums that are definitely more mature, and I'm referring to "To Mega Therion," "Into The Pandemonium," and the forgotten "Vanity/Nemesis."
Paradise Lost Paradise Lost

I haven't listened to it yet, but I'm glad they've (partially) recovered from the disgustingly commercial tunnel they had fallen into.
Solefald In Harmonia Universali
Voto:
But this is not a review, it’s a novel! Anyway, well done, I read it all with pleasure despite its length. I’ve heard a bit of Solefald here and there, really unique, I’ve formed a great opinion of them.
Bathory The Return...
Voto:
A somewhat overly celebratory review.. Anyway, I've listened to a bit of Bathory, including some of this album, enough to get a sense of the vibe. The production is shocking, terrible, and that's a big deterrent, at least for me. Much better the Celtic Frost.
Christian Death Catastrophe Ballet
Voto:
Christian Death are absolutely fantastic; "Only Theatre Of Pain" is a true manifesto, and this one is not bad at all. Rozz Williams, then, is a truly unique and irreverent character, especially when compared to the time. The cover deserves particular admiration.
