Il Balletto Di Bronzo YS
Voto:
I don’t agree with the rating, although I mostly share the review. The fact is that if "Ys" is rated 5, then "Darwin!" by BMS deserves an 11, "Storia di un minuto" by PFM should get a 7, and "Zarathustra" by Museo Rosenbach deserves a 9. I believe the Italian progressive scene has offered much better: some may agree with me, but still, the "Balletto di Bronzo" will remain a band that everyone inexplicably speaks highly of, as part of a sort of crazy tribute to Italian prog "always and anyway." Not to mention that the guitarist who "wasn't exceptional," that the lyrics are quite pretentious, and above all the vocal parts, as someone noted, are kind of "Cugini di Campagna."

I don’t contest what you wrote in the review, but I found "Yggdrasill" slightly hard to digest (maybe I didn’t listen to it attentively, so I refrain from voting). Certainly, Satyricon and Enslaved are part of that "category" of bands that tend to be liked much less on average than the classics Emperor and Dimmu Borgir. This doesn’t mean, of course, that they are of lesser value! PS: I found another person who absolutely doesn’t like "The forest is my throne," aside from the catchy title: while considering myself, much to my dismay, a "refined palate" (take a look at what I’ve reviewed to get an idea), "Eld" and "Nemesis Divina" were definitely on another level.

The last one doesn't seem that bad to me; I'll try to review it soon...

A record that I keep listening to and re-listening to tirelessly for weeks. Great lyrics, superb music: 5 is absolutely deserved. Good review.

no problem, even if they were "Offense" I don't see any issues, the important thing is to justify the things that are said... I hope I’ve explained myself now... bye!

IN GENERAL, they risk becoming a caricature of themselves; HERE they are not yet well-defined enough, as they propose a genre that is daring to define as metal, in my opinion. It could be the production, it could be the somewhat "muddled" riffing, a bit (and now hear the fans...) simplistic: then it's clear that I prefer "Warlord" because it’s fast and brutal, an attitude that, in the absence of "good" technicalities, I quite love compared to other clumsy attempts to create something. To be honest, this is an album with 2-3 excellent tracks and the rest is background noise, which typically gets skipped by most of us (or is Hatred your favorite track by Manowar!?) Oh, now you’re going to tell me "listen to prog, it's better." It's curious that many Dream Theater fans tell me "listen to Manowar, it's better"... What I've never managed to do, after so many years of listening to music, is to "ghettoize" myself in listening to a single genre, a practice you seem to indulge in abundantly. And let me tell you, I listen to a lot of death and black metal. What I still don't understand is how you always look for contradictions at all costs, like many little professors of the "Holy Inquisition" model. I reread what I wrote, and I have the impression that many who commented didn't actually read it: perhaps they only look at the score, "and who is this bastard giving a 3 to Manowar," and off we go with words in the wind. Well... let's give 5 to everyone!

From the way you talk about it, it seems like I might really like it: I've listened to "The Hollowing" a bunch of times, but I still can’t convince myself that it's a good album. Who knows, maybe this one will be different...
