Well, I just wrote that for me it’s not a matter of choices! I don’t think taking acid or having sex can be compared... anyway, mine was also a question; I would like to know who said it, was it Ian McKaye?

Yes, for me "The Gray Race" (guys, not "The Grey Race" as you wrote!!) is a masterpiece, it has monumental lyrics that reach remarkable peaks of lyricism and realistic melancholy. Clearly, it is not "Suffer" or "No Control" (even less so "80-85"), but in my opinion, they can't be compared. Perhaps there are some junk songs, in fact most of them as they're catchy pop-punk with pathetic choruses (e.g. "Punk Rock Song" which is indeed the single!), but "Parallel," "Empty Causes," "The Gray Race," "Nobody Listens," or "Them and Us" are, in my opinion, among the best things recorded by the Bad..... p.s. anyway, the catchy side is also worth listening to; at least they were original, unlike that shit of New-Punk (sic).

Well, the only thing I can stand about the Pistols is the music, certainly not the image, the fillers, and the superstructures...

Thank you, I will listen to it, I had set them aside after that masterpiece "The Gray Race"....

But has anyone ever said "Don't smoke, don't drink, don't fuck," or is it just an urban legend? If someone has said it, it’s surely to serve their own interests, or to make a virtue out of necessity... I can let the don't drink slide (even though I can quote the Slapshotian "I've had enough of straight edge kids who drink behind my back..."), and the no smoke too, but I don't see what the hell the don't fuck has to do with straight edge! Anyone who doesn’t get laid is either a loser or a repressed jerk; there’s no such thing as choosing not to fuck... STRAIGHT EDGE, GIVE ME A BREAK!!!

Great review (I also agree with the description of the individual tracks), splendid album... thank you for the information, in my opinion, it's never too much, especially since I have never read biographies of the Pink! Who does the story of the famous rockman with the groupie refer to?

You’ve intrigued me, I’ll get it right away! Stunning cover, just like "L' Esorciccio" can be stunning....
p.s. A few years ago I heard the disco version of "Ace of Spades", can anyone tell me who did the cover?
Jimi Hendrix Live At Woodstock

P.S. Thankfully, he died in the '70s; otherwise, he would have become a chart-topping puppet, just like Janis.

If I hadn't given it a 5, the average wouldn't have dropped ;) Critically, I can say that the downward phase of Jimi's parabola started in '68; it's not just my opinion, but here we go again: die-hard fans of anyone stubbornly insist on giving 5 to the artists of the LP instead of the LP itself... Woodstock was a significant historical event, but the only ones who played decently were Santana and a few others; Jimi was the ghost of the genius he once was, so bear with me.

Worst live performance by Jimi, total rubbish, he could have just died after the Experience as far as I'm concerned, listen to Live at Winterland! Appreciated only by the Woodstockian crowd of acid heads.
