Ok ok, then I'm going to watch "Live at Pompeii" another 8 or 9 times, dear Franziska! Sometimes I even criticize my parents, and shouldn't I criticize 3 zombies shadows of themselves? Well, I feel sorry for them, what else can I say? I also wish them Lucullus dinners anyway: that way they can eat and d'accabanta de segai is callonisi cun discus e conzertus ahahah!! P.S. antoniodeste, are the mistakes in the translation and in the lyrics quotes intentional?

No, the "Thank God" was ironic; it's better to say "unfortunately, I'm used to their absence!" Thank God (this time for real!) the old albums remain; they will guide even the most sensitive fringes of the new generations, I hope at least. After all, DSOTM is still at the 50th place in the charts...

Huh? What do you mean? Do they still exist for you? Well... as far as I'm concerned, there are now 3 old fat guys and 4 or 5 session musicians who do concerts with lights and megagalactic effects to make up for the lack of creativity and keep cashing in. Let's not even talk about the albums; without Waters, they are no longer Pink Floyd. They should have let him keep the name...

But no... if I think of something slightly original, maybe I think of Massive Attack. As for the label of NoFx, I believe it's Epitaph, the major of fake punk - Graffin & Brett could have spared us, even though dollars are helpful! I repeat, NoFx can be enjoyable, they are definitely technical, but let's not talk about Punk please, that's all I wanted to say.

Well, thank God I was already used to the absence of the Pink, they've been gone since '82 (to be generous)!!

Well, you're right, music can be enjoyable and unoriginal and vice versa; I didn't mean to say otherwise. What leaves me perplexed is when someone claims that a band or a style is original out of ignorance (in the good sense of the term), not knowing what existed many years before. This applies to everything, not just music. Unfortunately, if one wants to judge the greatness of a band, an artist, or anyone, originality indeed matters. If a painter today does Cubism, it can be pleasing, but it is still imitatio. No one dares to say "he's a genius" or "he's a great painter," unless of course it's someone who discovered Cubism in 2006...

Congratulations on the review, I agree with everything. I don't know the album because it seemed to me like a commercial operation (maybe it's a prejudice, I admit, given the 4 stars I'll try to listen to it!), but in their genre, the Descendents are the absolute masters along with Bad Religion. But good luck explaining that to the new generations...

It's not our fault if today's bands are just reheating the '60s, '70s, and '80s and some consider them original, maybe the same people who think a film like "The Blair Witch Project" is original... "This is not a Love Song" is 1872 years old and you’re quoting an anti-love song from 2 hours ago... but who cares? In fact, I’ll tell you more, I even listen to Mina... so what?
