Slayer Reign In Blood

p.s. the unbroken rhythms, on a string and super fast, you admitted that they are definitely similar to death: who used them before Slayer? No one!! They invented them, so they invented death...

Giorrgio, the first to be presumptuous was you, when you said that you had heard everything except that Slayer were death, as if you were saying something out of this world! Slayer invented death, who else could it be? The "death" voice you're talking about seems to me to relate to grindcore or noisecore, but that came later, with "Scum" by Napalm Death, who invented grind. Moreover, it's not the voice that makes the music; if you put Barney from Napalm playing with Oasis, it doesn't mean Oasis make death or grind! And as for the look, just check out the HM of '86, '87, '88 and you'll realize that all the thrash bands (which I've already mentioned) from the Bay Area were dressed like skaters. James Hetfield even broke an arm skateboarding; if you want, I can send you an email with the photo...

p.s. Is the look of the early Slayer also thrash?? But do you know them? Which thrash bands wore makeup like Araya, Hanneman and the others or adopted their look? Hmm... the classic look of a thrasher, if I’m not mistaken, is that of a skater.

But how can you say that Slayer plays thrash??? They may have some connection to thrash in the albums after "Reign in Blood" and at least according to a certain type of music critics (the ones obsessed with epic metal and pure metal, who can't differentiate between death and thrash). Explain to me what typical rhythms of "Reign in Blood" and "Hell Awaits" have to do with thrash, those rhythms, just to be clear, super fast played on one string, WITHOUT PALM MUTING.... dear Giorrgio, how old are you?? And you, Earlgrey, what do you mean by thrash? I mean Metallica and Anthrax first and foremost, then Megadeth, Testament, Death Angel etc. if I refer to the older ones!!! BUT IF REIGN IN BLOOD IS NOT DEATH, GIVE ME A NAME OF A DEATH ALBUM, BUT DON'T SHOOT ME SEPULTURA OR DEATH!!!

Good review, but Slayer play death metal, not thrash; they're not the Metallica! p.s. those who say Morbid Angel are more violent than Slayer, in my opinion, are TALKING OUT OF THEIR ASS!!! The only album that can rival the heaviness and violence of "Reign in Blood" is "Master of Reality" by the Sabs, said by someone who knows Carcass, Patareni, S.O.D, Napalm Death, General Surgery, etc... ALL A REPEAT OF HEAVINESS FROM SLAYER AND BLACK SABBATH!!

Wicked world doesn’t exist on the first issue of the album; it’s only the B-side of the 7" Black Sabbath. The review is quite good but relies too much on dark-doom stereotypes... The best one I’ve ever read is the one I found in Vinyl Roots of HM (n°61), monumental!! Great VXS, Ozzy died in 1975, wanting to be positive. Marilyn Manson is a moron just as much as Ozzy on MTV; furthermore, he only scandalizes the bigots: Bowie did it better in 1973!!! P.S. Black Sabbath is the most beautiful album in the history of music alongside Sabbath Bloody Sabbath and Master of Reality.

No one can say that the review is too long; for a song from this masterpiece, you'd need 2 pages… in front of any album among the top 5 of the Sabs, ALL rock bands (and subgenres like grunge, hardcore, death, grind, etc.) worldwide should just bow down!!! The only album comparable in power to Master of Reality is Reign in Blood, but that was in '86… the whole scene died in '88, the great last year of metal and not just.
