Pink Floyd A Saucerful Of Secrets

Rocky, what does "Revolver" have to do with it? I wrote Sgt Peppers, and the 13th Floor Elevators definitely contributed a lot too! Dots... comedy knows no bounds, but neither does arrogance. If I give a 2 to the title track, that’s my business; I already told you I don’t like it when Pink Floyd make noise, plain and simple! I prefer them melodic (like "Echoes" or "Fearless," for example). Apart from the ballads that can be a bit boring, you're a bit fixated; for you, all albums and all songs by Pink Floyd should definitely get a 5, am I wrong?

I can scan several articles from old magazines where they are defined as death, moreover... do you think Possessed are thrash too? Bah... tell me what the Metallica are then, but respond....

dots and heron speak like this and then you don't give a rating? lysergic like no one before "A saucerful of secrets"? AOH MA "ARE YOU EXPERIENCED" AND "SERGENT PEPPERS" WHERE DO YOU PUT THEM?? AND "THE PIPER AT THE GATES OF DAWN"? it seems to me that all of these come before a saucerful!! and then tastes are not up for discussion, for example, I give a 5 to both "set the controls.." and "let there be more light", I give a 2 to "jugband blues" and the title track, can't I take the average? heron, you're not a hyena but a bird indeed.

Haha no, I have to write it in every review where it's mentioned, I don't write it just for the users... register before bothering!

Ah Ah Ah "the metal" !!!!! Who are you, my grandmother, saying "the metallic music"? ahahahah!! Slayer, by the way, plays death metal, says someone who was 13 in '86, what the hell do they have to do with the Metallica of "Master of Puppets"?????????

Review is okay, but I'm not sure if the Pink Floyd actually invented psychedelia; it had been in the air for a while by '67. If anyone knows whether "The Piper at the Gates of Dawn" or the Beatles' "Sgt. Pepper's" was recorded first, please let me know! I'm not particularly fond of "A Saucerful of Secrets," it's too chaotic, I hate when the Pink Floyd start making a racket!!! p.s. it's better not to smoke joints, but listening to Pink Floyd after a joint won't be good for you, but it will definitely take you on a trip more than not!

Ok Earl, if you say that today black metal is Scandinavian, that’s true; maybe it’s also true for a certain type of death metal. It’s true in the sense that younger people think that way; over time, death metal has taken on today’s characteristics. The important thing is to know its roots - in the sense that if today typical death metal is understood by younger people as characterized by growl vocals, it doesn’t mean that Slayer plays thrash; they are too different in attitude, speed, rhythms, solos, and lyrics from the classic thrash bands as I understand them. Anyway, I’m glad you know Celtic Frost, great!
Slayer Hell Awaits

But damn, even you, Cronos, say that Hell Awaits is trash?? But for goodness' sake, then what is death metal, just that with the growl voice after the FIRST TRUE DEATH METAL of Slayer, Possessed, Kreator, etc.???? And it's not fair to talk about CDs, let's talk about LPs; in Italy, we couldn't even dream of CDs back in '85!! Anyway, you're right when you say that "Hell Awaits" is the breakout album of Slayer, even though "Reign in Blood" will be even more so; perhaps it's more than just a breakout, it's the first mature work.

Earl, I also know that the stopped rhythms are part of death, as they are in all metal in general, especially in death and black, just look at Slayer themselves, you're right, of course! I repeat what I say, I can prove it with magazines from those years like HM, Metal Shock, or Metal Hammer, I still have them in the cellar! Maybe you're too young, and I'm not saying this to treat you like newbies, but maybe it's because it’s true, it’s not a fault.

Sorry Earl, but black metal was perhaps invented by Venom, right?! Giorrgio, Napalm play grindcore, even if lately they might be leaning more towards death; ultrafastness started with "Scum," grind didn't exist before that. In my opinion, it's not true that death metal has the growl voice; you are referring to the second or third wave of death metallers, the first was like Slayer, Possessed, Kreator, etc.; growl didn't exist. In the second comment, I just wanted to provoke; I know that Sepultura (at least the first 3 LPs) plays death, and so do Death! Oh, I also find that death is characterized by a certain type of lyrics, or am I mistaken? I completely refuse to compare Metallica (really thrash, and who else?) and Slayer; "Reign in Blood" and "Master of Puppets," same year but almost opposite music—please be patient! I don't want to be polemic, but I experienced the first wave personally; these aren't things I'm saying alone, but also many music critics.
