Bob Mould District Line

I don’t share the review. "District Line" seems well-structured to me. Great sounds, great songs. Immediate and anything but predictable. It’s true that many tracks remind me of Sugar, but within these grooves, there echoes a considerable Pixies/Buffalo Tom vibe (early days) that shouldn’t be overlooked. And that’s no small thing these days!!!

Thank you mien_mo_man, even if it won't be easy... around I see the usual reissues from the 70s... but I haven't seen any trace of the 80s "Florian" included... A bit like what happened to Banco with the splendid albums "Urgentissimo" and "Buone Notizie," whose CD versions released years ago by CBS (when it was still not Sony) were sold to me by a former collector friend for 7 euros each...

It's an album I'm not familiar with apart from the track "Marinai," which, if I remember correctly, they presented at Sanremo, finishing obviously last... but I would be interested in buying it if someone (at the time it was released, I believe on DDD) would take the trouble to reprint it on CD... Anyway, Le Orme are a fantastic group... nothing compared to PFM!

It's nice to see how everyone shares their opinion, and it's interesting to observe how multifaceted the Radiohead audience is... anyway, Roguewave said a profound truth: "music is beautiful because it evokes different things in everyone, and each person loves or hates it for different reasons... pop, rock, etc. are just labels"... but did you take the nickname from that extraordinary band that records for Sub Pop?

...and not only that... Wall Of Voodoo experimented with different musical paths. After Ridgway's departure, they made pop tracks like "Museums" and "The Grass Is Greener"... which had nothing to do with westerns and Morricone. In any case, thanks for your clarifying message. However, I don’t think I made that much of a mess... :-)))

I'm sorry always regarding your message dear "maestrino"... in the official bio names of writers and characters are mixed among others. It’s a simple (but perhaps intentional) journalistic oversight by whoever compiled the bio. I let it slip away.... I apologize for this, but I believe and reiterate that your comment more "musical" and less "academic" would perhaps have been more interesting.

I'm responding to Azzo.
Perhaps you should reread what I write more carefully... I'm talking about technopop spirit... I didn't say that Wall Of Voodoo is a technopop band... and indeed "Mexican Radio" was played in clubs all over the planet and was also heard on Radio Deejay. After all, you associate - in one of your latest reviews - Interpol with The Smiths and Television. Quite debatable. Although it depends on everyone's subjective impressions. Maybe you would do well to be a little less of a "teacher" and post more constructive comments.
Au revoir!
