uhm... uhm... a nice album, but nothing more... how did it achieve all this success???... Red Hill Mining Town would be a successful track if it weren't sung at the top of one’s lungs. Beautiful too are Running To Stand Still and Trip Through Your Wires. The slow and eerie Mother of the Disappeared is interesting, characterized by a keyboard backdrop that accompanies the chilly sound of the bass, evoking the vastness of a dawn in the desert. A brilliant intuition, surely the work of Brian Eno. But... it’s not the songs that are tied to the memory of this album. You know what I’m thinking? I believe the most beautiful songs on this album have gone unnoticed by U2 fans in 17 years... after all, today they complain, but they enjoy the band they deserve.
