(last update) the sound is nice, the group is not great, definitely not unbearable. but the best discovery today was ... iMesh5! (and so we consoled ourselves after losing WinMX)

In my opinion, this is much better than "Tea for the Tillerman," I don’t know, I prefer its sound. Or maybe, I just don’t love Cat Stevens enough. Hi Massi :-)

Old King Cole, let's say… in my opinion, the commercial turnaround of Genesis, largely blamed on Collins (not without reason, given that it roughly coincides with the success of our dear frontman's first solo album), had as its clever architect the "good" Rutherford, author of the worst songs that ended up on the charts. Aside from the fact that it would be enough to read the album notes, for further confirmation I recommend listening to the tracks from the group founded by the bassist, Mike & The Mechanics… the sound and refrains are exactly those. If we think about it, Collins had a completely different writing style, which shone through in the ballads. But the infamous "fast" or """""""rock"""""" tracks of the band bore the signature of the good Mike (Land of Confusion, Home by the Sea, etc.). So: credit to Rutherford for contributing to the writing of past masterpieces, (partial) infamy for the crimes committed thereafter. Bye!!

ratings. decent review: beyond the technical skill of the group (perhaps the only Italian band that could compete with Area, as Caz rightly states - by the way: fuck you, anonymous! and thank you for giving me the chance to read Caz's review), it was better to focus on what the album evoked during listening, on its themes, rather than on the beauty of DiGiacomo's voice. but mine is just a highly debatable opinion...

Indeed, "Cento mani..." is a magnificent piece. I remember the live performance I attended in Turin, a couple of years ago. It was during the acoustic tour that Banco was bringing around that summer (even though the... "unplugged phase" had actually started a long time before). Completely different, as you can imagine, but incredibly magical, a journey outside of time... still, I believe that "750.000 anni fa... l'amore?" remains their greatest masterpiece. b&b

I didn’t know them, I had never heard anything from them, but after reading your review, I got curious and downloaded some songs (is it allowed? :-) Thank you for introducing me to an interesting band. Give me a little more time, though, because I haven’t cried yet...
