A filthy record. As much as Nevermind, I believe this is one of the most corrosive media-auditory disasters of all time. Just my personal opinion, of course, but I think everything related to this CD, from production to mixing, is tainted by a damned polished approach... as for the "little fairy tale" of the "one hit wonder", I would like to remind the respectable reviewer that back at the time of Creep, it was enough for anyone to be unknown and capable of playing four chords with a grunge/teen sound and tear-jerking lyrics to be immediately (or perhaps automatically, it was the '90s...) placed in all the top 10s around the world... The Bends, now that one(!) is an album that deserves much more attention...

Sorry, my friend, but the only paradoxical thing here is your review. With all due respect for your opinion, which doesn't stray from mine regarding the fact that My War surpasses Damaged in terms of "Sabbathian and innovative" experimentation, don't you think, and I'm trying to make you think for a moment, that Damaged represents a sort of shedding of the post-punk skin known until then? I don't mean to give advice, but I believe you should better frame it in the period when it was released before hurling four useless review lines that do nothing for your writing evolution, making you even appear to be in the wrong... as for Cobain's preferences regarding the album in question, I can't help but ask you: did you really ever know him?

What you say is right Punisher, however it is also correct to say (in my insignificant opinion) that this album is a unique hoax, but not because I want to provoke, because I simply cannot get excited about it like that... simply put: Burroughs, during those years of semi-lucidity, was exploited by an entire generation of artists who were more or less (in most cases) competent. Nothing more. This CD renders his decades-long and highly hallucinogenic work completely devoid of verve. As I mentioned before, possibly repeating myself, this doesn't excite me either...

A rather unsuccessful experiment.

I can still taste the afterglow of your words: a few lines, essential and immediate concepts... you are Immense. I want your poster in my room (!!!)
