Sorry Brat, but the Sleep path ended in 1995 with Dopesmoker and not in 2003-2005 (the years you're perhaps confusing because of the reissue of Dopesmoker under the name Jerusalem). Then Pike formed the Fire just two years later ('98)... and then honestly... you could have gone a bit further... you mentioned they are inspired by Om, but you could have included a little more...

Yes, there’s a lot of Melvins, but also Kyuss. This is the "factor" that’s devastating (and thus positive).

Thanking you in advance for your kindness, I can tell you: yes, there are differences between the two albums. Because in Bestial, the collection of tracks appears fragmented in a mosaic of frenetic design, almost disconnected yet connected at the same time, while in this one (Feather&), there is a continuous, cosseted, and above all, extended line; the tracks flow one into another, and you can unmistakably perceive the intent of a concept that ties all the threads into a single entity. It’s one of my favorite records, and above all, it’s fucking spiritual, modern, otherworldly, and earthly at the same time. What strikes me even more is that they are two: in times like these, where everything is preset, clean, post-filtered and evading, these two misfits work their asses off and come up with striking metrics like we haven’t heard in a long time in the scene. They deserve absurd respect, as well as obvious stylistic compliments from those who are in love with the genre (and perhaps even from those who are not). Not to mention the style, a wonderful retrospective of everything that sludge, doom, and stoner have ever left as extreme for posterity (i.e., them). A rare gem, indeed, unique.

No, joking aside, you might not like it, but I still recommend you give it a listen; it’s really worth it!
