Dear Metal Bender, I confess that I fell in love without reason with this film starting from the trailer (seen in the original language, and on YouTube at the beginning of January). Indeed, the trailer is a rough collection of snippets thrown together haphazardly, where the only thing that seems to be shown is the beginning. However, what truly pulses in the story of the Hughes finds its way only within the film: and I would have never believed otherwise. I adore this film because it seeks that visual sloppiness typical of '80s movies, without special effects (aside from a few barely perceptible reconstructions) and without/exaggerations, which fits and stands out compared to what we've seen in every film of the current cinematic empire. This is a film whose ending is more than NOT predictable. In which the story and the cinematography, for the first time, balance out against each other like rock, paper, and scissors. It may be just my opinion, but compared to what I see coming out these days, very little comforts me (both aesthetically and morally), and in this film, I feel a sense of serenity that I never would have imagined, even after watching the trailer. It's true, I may have exaggerated with the "stars", but certainly, I did not exaggerate in considering it noteworthy compared to the genre it belongs to. Give it a try, dear Metal Bender, give it a try, and then, at worst, you can always scrap me away! A very friendly greeting!

Great review, and I can't help but share the thoughts of the author and founder of one of the most interesting movements of recent decades. Congratulations Driver: 10, 100, 1000 more reviews like this, please!

I share every little thing! Every little thing: when I saw it, a lady started crying during the scene in the room where ash was raining down on Di Caprio and the "ectoplasmic wife," in one of the myriad visions. Inexpressibly MASTODONTIC music, and a cast worthy of a well-done SCORSESATA. One note: the ending, damn... I would have flipped it right at the last minute, and I would have wanted our federal agent to be truly high as a kite... and to realize it right at that damned lighthouse!!! Great review!

I am deeply moved by your speech! Really. No, come on... I was just joking. A little curiosity: do you think that by writing in capital letters, your speech comes across as equally grand? "Don't you remember Alberto Ferrari?! The Muslim poet..."

No, I want to remember the first two Batmans... back then we were still there. But then after that... come on, damn it...
